I need writing help. Lots of it lol I am attempting to write a novel and I've never finished one before. I have attempted like hundreds but something about actually finishing the book trips me up every darn time. Plus I get new, shiny ideas and they distract from old ones. So I guess I am wondering... how to stay passionate about something enough to finish it?

Also, should I outline?!!

i think it is best to work on it when the ideas are fresh and when "we are feeling it". hmm now in your case, maybe send it to someone you trust for a read. maybe the feedback will inspire you to finish it. If your novel is somewhat long, an outline would help you get a picture of the story so far.

i write poems and i work with keywords. that's my outline.
