I read them when I heard the show was coming. They're different from the show (the show premiered before book 2 was out I believe, so I guess that's why they had to go their own direction) I really enjoyed them.

Yeah there were a lot of similarities in book 1 to the pilot episode I thought. And they introduced the mountain men in the first book so obviously the writers knew what had happened. I'm about to start book 2 today, I too am really enjoying them and will be interesting to see where the books go.
I love Clarke/Bellamy and I think I would have had the show not been on because I like the playfulness in their scenes. I like that Bellamy can get her to laugh and his protectiveness over his sister is really sweet. I think Clarke as a character needs to be flushed out a bit more. Wells is obnoxious to me. I like him in the show, in the books, not so much. I find it super cheesey he came to the earth for Clarke. But finding out he turned her parents in, and then finding out he cut the air supply at the end Ugh, I just don't think he's a likable character. I think the Glass/Luke parts are the most boring and they drag a lot so it makes sense why the show writers cut those characters. |

Yeah, I liked Clarke/Bellamy in the books also. Their personalities are a bit different, she is a bit more playful and they are more flirty.
I didn't mind Wells, but I totally understand where you are coming from. Although, I liked the Glass/Luke stuff, it was a chance to see what was happening on the Ark I suppose. |

love your icon jen
I started book 2, I'm about 1/2 way through. I feel like these books go so quick because of the different points of view. B/C have had some cute moments and I like the introduction of the new girl and her little interactions with Wells. Not much glass yet which I like. lol. |

Sasha! I like her so far and her chemistry with Wells. I'm really glad they dropped the Wells/Clarke thing.
Bellamy/Clarke are so cute. And I like the storyline in this book a lot more, there is less Glass too. Really excited to start book 3! Do we know how many books total Kass is planning? When does 4 come out? |

No shes writing a fourth one, I think it comes out in january....
I finished book 3! It was okay, the beginning of the book was great, very heavily bellamy focused which I loved but I had some issues with it. I hated that they killed sasha . and the ending very tacked on to me, and her parents were just alive but we didnt get an explanation for HOW they survived? I hope book 4 answers the questions. |

Oh yeah, I heard about the 4th, which I believe is meant to be the final book.
Yeah, it was sad what happened with Sasha. What do you think about Wells and Bellamy being brothers? |

I liked it okay. I thought they were very similar in the books actually, but wells annoyed me so much until book 3.
but i kinda liked the brother-ness, it bound them all together more, but idk, book 3 was just kind of all over the place it seemed. I wanted more answers, it didnt feel that final to me. |

It did, it kinda made sense in a strange way Especially since we never did know who his father was.
Looking forward to the last one.. to see everything closes up. |

I'm pretty sure it is, and the acknowledgements at the end of the book sound very final.
