I feel like Robbie was being a snob. Was is that hard for her to say Hello back? When this took place, he was already famous. She knew who he was and what he was all about. Why was she acting like he was Sam Wheat and she was one of Oda Mae Brown's sisters? If she'd said Hi, it wouldn't have escalated to all of that because he would've had her attention. Instead he did silly stuff to get her to react.

Unless she hated his wiggling and thought it unholy, so that's why she treated him like Sam Wheat. Or since she was a local girl, she remembered he grew up dirt poor and thought she was better than him.

I had two reactions to bullies when I was in school. When they bothered me I ignored them till they grew bored because I didn't give them the reaction they expected. Or I stood up to them when they were bothering my friends.

Because that’s essentially what Robbie did. Elvis walked in, he said hello, and for whatever reason she decided he was unworthy of a response.

Mmmmmm. I don’t think it was as calculating as that. Elvis was just being Elvis: an insatiable flirt who never met a female he didn’t like. We’re talking about a man who would jump into the audience and kiss women he didn’t even know on the lips. Talk about up close and personal. And the photographer / journalist were along for the ride, documenting whatever he did. What Robbie should’ve done is spoken up. Tell the photographer / journalist to not take her picture. Tell Elvis that she isn’t like those millions of other girls who would be ecstatic to have his attention. Do those things rather than sit around like a statue who was carved with stink eye.
