I thought I had read a book of hers, but then I looked up the book, The Birth of Venus, and that is by Sarah Dunant.

I got my Sarahs confused.

Sarah Dessen's books are comfort food I feel. They have good, relatable storylines with realistic endings. Love is a part of them but not the be all end all, has to make it a happy ending type. I've re-read two of hers a few times. My favorite is This Lullaby. I also like that she overlaps some of them like with a character in one book being alluded to in another.

Oh, I like when books connect like that.

Susanna Kearsley does that.

And Joe Hill mentioned some of his dad's Stephen King's characters in his book and then Stephen King mentioned some of his son's in his.
