Most flavors of cake, I like. When they start adding lavender, rose, or such, I'm not sure how those would taste....

I think the taste is gross in their opinion. I don't think I've ever tasted rose so I don't know if I'd agree

I've been watching seasons 3 & 4, and they are making cakes of assorted flavors:
figs, apricots , lemon & Thyme, orange & cardamom, pistachio & rose.... |

They had to make a traditional Madeira cake, and wanted to see a crack on top.
I've read about those in books, but never made one. |

I always laugh when on the celeb version they say you're supposed to go to a bakery for all this stuff. I would skip the baking and go to a bakery.

I like some basic baking, but really don't care to make my own lady fingers, eclairs, or make a 5 tier wedding cake.
