Probably have to. They are preparing for another war, and it's just a lot of going back and forth, and I always find reading about fighting a bit boring.

I agree reading about fighting can be boring. I have a hard time picturing war scenes in my head and that makes them not my favorite.

I find it hard to picture as well, and most of the time it is quite boringly described.

It's kind of shocking that Diana wouldn't be better at describing those scenes since it sounds like she's better at describing other things. Maybe they're her least favorite too?

Fight is hard to write and picture.

Space battles are easier. More action packed.

And it is pages and pages of preparing, and especially now with this particular scene, they are in one spot where many of the characters are arriving accidentally, and the story is told from everyones POV in turn. I hate that when I picture something and then we learn more and nothing has been accurate in my head.

It would probably have been much easier to describe it if we were still just at Claire's POV since she isn't ever really part of the battle, just treating the wounded.

At some point an author has to say, okay enough preparing, get to the fight.

This is why multiple POVs can be very tiring and always turn out to be monster sized book. I get it being a challenge authors love to take on, though.

Yeah she did. The fighting was pretty much one scene

And that was super confusing, but it might just be me, since I am listening in English and it is not my native language

Probably, but i prefer English since it enhances my language skills. Sometimes I just doubt myself that did I understand that correctly

Yeah, there probably was some small scenes and people that will be important later. That is very much her style that when a scene doesn't seem interesting or a tad boring, it will most likely be important later
