Is anyone else participating in Nanowrimo this year? This will be my first year, and I'm quite excited.

I have attempted in the past, but I think I'm gonna do this, this year, since I need to get focused on some writing.

I agree, but I guess with this board being books first it makes sense.

I haven't tried yet, but I do try to get myself to write in smaller doses throughout the year... I really do need to push myself harder though.

I tried it my first year of college, but I was so swamped with school that I only stuck with it for the first few days. I'm done with college now, and I'd really like to try it again. However, it still looks like November is going to be a very busy time for me! I think that's going to be the case every year. November and December are like the busiest months.

I'm shocked there aren't more posts in this thread. I expected to find a whole bunch of people talking about NaNo here!

This is also my first year doing this. Or trying to do. Yesterday went just fine, since it was the first day and I was so excited of all that. Can't say same about today's progress. Since I have school to deal with, I have no idea how well I manage to finish on time, but I seriously want to do my best.

Sometimes you just have to squeeze every minute you can in and see what happens. I know I usually talk myself out of it, saying there's no time - but there usually is.

Yeah. Even 100 words a day would be enough. Just as long as it's something. or if you miss a day or so, you'll have to make up the count the next time possible.

I unfortunately am behind on my word count... Quite behind. I've been slacking. I'll keep trying, but I'm sure I won't be able to make it to 50,000 words by the end of the month. At least I can say that I tried though.
