I'm reading Plan B by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller, which is part of their Liaden series. It's good space opera with a bit of romance.

I'm reading the Return of the King by Tolkien. I'm loving these books. I can't believe I'm only now reading them.

Has anyone read Summers At Castle Auburn by Sharon Shinn? I know she is more popular for some of her other books/series, but I've been hard-pressed to find people who have read Summers At Castle Auburn...

Frozeninside, I just finally read the whole Lord of the Rings a few years ago. I had gotten through The Fellowship of the Ring when I was about 13, but kept getting stuck with The Two Towers.

Gabriela, Summers at Castle Auburn is by far my favorite Sharon Shinn book (and I've read them all!). There used to be a few other Summers fans here on this thread too.

Soz, I'm so happy to finally come across someone who has read and loves the book! I feel like almost no one has heard of it, which is really too bad because it's such a good read! It would be great if Shinn would write a sequel (she left the ending pretty open for that to happen), but that's probably just wishful thinking on my part...

It's nice to meet a fellow lover of the book too! Shinn is writing a story set in the same world for her story collection, Quatrain, which is due out next year. I don't know if it will be about the same characters or not, but I'm looking forward to it.

I didn't know that - I will definitely have to check it out. It would be great to see some of the main characters, but even if she writes Shorro in there I would be happy

I only brought one fantasy book with me to school, and I haven't gotten around to reading it yet, but I really want to go out sometime and get Brisingr by Christopher Paolini. I may wait until Christmas though so I can read the first two again as a refresher.

My fiance has bought some of the Worlds of Warcraft books and was wondering what the correct reading order is. Does anybody here know?

I was looking around online. I couldn't find any order though. I'm sorry. I'll keep looking though. Have you checked inside the covers for lists in order or anything like that?

Ok, is it possible to be stressed out about a "To be read" pile? Normally I only have one or two books ready to read but I have about 10! I know that some people on this board have really big TBR piles but I'm finding it to be more of a hindrance to reading than anything else. Does that make any sense? Anywhoo, this is what I've got piled beside my bed:
The Wayfarer Redemption - Sara Douglas
Wolf's Blood - Jane Lindskold
The Assassin King - Elizabeth Haydon
Forest Mage - Robin Hobb
Personal Demon - Kelley Armstrong
Shadowfall - James Clemens
Defiant - Mike Shepperd
Confessor - Terry Goodkind
and the first two books of Stephanie Meyer's vamp series (not my first choice but I got them as gifts and I'm willing to give them a go)

Any suggestions on what I should tackle first? Barring that I'm going with "eenie meenie miney mo" LOL

Brisingr is very good.

I liked Forest Mage by Robin Hobb when I read it, and it is a fairly quick read so you can get along to other ones pretty quickly.
