Yes, I watch a lot of Austen movies.
I own the DVD from 1995. Emma Thompson did a lot of work on this, writing the screen play and starring. It is a well cast version. |

I wonder if I should see if before reading?
Because I don't want to be spoiled for the story while reading BUT I also want to be able to follow the story and sometimes reading a book first helps. IDK. What's your opinion? __________________

I saw P&P before reading it.
I saw Emma and Clueless before reading it. So I would watch S&S before reading. Having actors to picture help to keep the characters straight and follow the period story. |

I just watched the 1995 Persuasion.
It is very well cast and acted. I liked that it ended with Anne on a ship with her new husband, preparing to go out to sea with him, as his sister did with the Admiral. |

The first one I watched had them walking off and talking everything out, which was nice;
but it was also nice to see her going away with him, so they would be together, even when he was working. |
