8 eps is perfect. 13 eps would be max. I think because you don't want too much filler.

My number one literature couple is always Lyra/Will from His Dark Materials trilogy such an amazing coming of age story.
Others memorable mentions; Mordred/Arthur (The Wicked Day by Mary Stewart) such a tragic story. Smike/Kate Nickleby (Nicholas Nickleby by Charles Dickens) another tragic couple. Nimueh/Merlin (The Enchantment by Mary Stewart) great Arthurian tale |
