No, not yet, that is gonna take me a long time I'm about a third of the way through. It's divided in small sections of about a hundred pages, so I try to read a section, than read a book or two, than read another section. It might take me all year to finish that one. But I'm going to finish it!

Bless the sections, really! I love when books are divided so it makes it so much easier to figure out breaks.

1984 is broken up in parts and then there's sections within the parts. It is weird to not have real chapters.

It's numbered sections within numbered chapters.

How do authors decided how it gets broken up? Is it just a style they prefer?

Maybe the editor / copy editor / author get together and discuss what's best for the book?

I do like a book when it's divided into parts or sections, but only if it makes sense and fits the story. It would be an interesting question to ask to an author/editor why they chose chapters/sections/other ways of structuring

I can see why 1984 is divided the way it is. And the other book I am reading, The Kitchen Front.
