The 50 Book Challenge: A New Year, A New Challenge

If you're unfamiliar with the 50 book challenge: it's basically a challenge to read 50 books in the span of a year. This thread is for keeping track of the books that you've read so far this year. You don't have to be trying for 50 books to post on the thread; if that goal is too high or too low (or you want to try the challenge for less than a year), you can set your own goal or set a different type of goal, like a goal for the number of pages you want to read. What you choose to include toward you goal is also up to you: you can include re-reads, books for classes, graphic novels and/or manga, etc. depending on what feels right to you. If you have any reading goals at all, you're welcome to come record your progress here. So come on in and join the fun!

The previous thread can be found here :)

^If there is anything I should add to the OP, let me know :D

OK, so I'm almost done, only 3 more books left,
47. Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyers (176 p) (this counts even if its not the complete book right? :look:)

n e r b l e - Ooh, you're reading LJ Smith books? Have you read the night world series? :D

Thanks for the new thread!

Yeah, there's no way I'm going to make it this year. I think I made it to about 15,000 pages but I've just been too busy with school. I haven't read a book in almost the past month. I think I'll keep my same goal for next year, though.
So, next year I'll aim for 25,000 pages or more.

I can't wait to try this next year. Probably not 50 books, but I'll try something else

I'm excited to try for 50 books next year - I'm glad the new year is approaching quickly :)

Thanks for the new thread. I'll finally be able to do the whole challenge now instead of half a year ;)

From the last thread:

Quote:

Is that book 'To Kill a Mockingbird' any good? I've heard a lot about it.
And did you like your #4?
I liked it, but there were some things that bothered me,. But you have to keep in mind the context of the time it was written. I read it because it's pretty much a classic and I'd heard a lot about it. It has a lot of food for thought.

Okay. I think I'll try it sometime. :) I've put it on my super long list.

I can't wait for the new year to begin so I can get going :)

This year has been so crappy for me reading wise. I have only read 3 books this year. I found this thread almost a month ago and it's really jumpstarted me on reading again. I used to read all the time, but this year has been so hectic that I didn't really find the time to read. As of December 1 I had only read 1 book the whole year, which is pretty embarrassing for me since I use to read well over 50 books a year. I definitely will get back on track next year.
