That book list in the OP might need some updates.

Because no one wants to read a story where everything is happy. What's there to overcome then?

a surprise character made a come back in the later part of this book that I had basically completely forgotten
Was it a character from Book 1 who only showed up in one scene? That would be out of left field.

No, I mean why is speculative future books not just general fiction.
Why is it always sci-fi or dystopian?

Not from that far back, but I think this character was in book four and five. He fits the story surprisingly well at the moment

Maybe because of the gadgets they assume will be in the future?

I love when writers can make things from long ago fit like a puzzle. Makes you wonder if she always intended it.

Exactly! It is amazing. But then again, when it comes to Diana, with what I read from her facebook comments, I doubt she has really meant anything she has done

Oh the trailer. It looks so amazing. I think Claire's hair is short in few scenes, I am losing my mind

She's really playing with fire here, not planning things. What if she gets herself stuck?
Have you ever noticed bloopers in the story because she doesn't plan.

What does it mean that her hair is short?

That's what I keep thinking. It must be impossible for her to not actually plan things. She must have some kind of idea what is going to happen in the story, no matter what she says

I've not notice any real bloopers, but there were some weird characters that I didn't remember so I googled them and apparently some of them have only appeared in the side stories before. that annoys me greatly since I should be able to enjoy the main story without reading the other, especially since I do not care about John Grey enough to read books about him.

I put the answer in spoiler tags so not to ruin anything to anyone who doesn't want to know

A Breath of Snow and Ashes. Sixth one in the series.

Oh man! I'd hate that too. The main story should be where everything is introduced. It's like when I watch SW (the new trilogy) and the directors try to tell me about stuff that happened off screen. It's like, no dude, you need to put it in the main movie and not expect people to look outside it. Be good enough to include all the important bits.

I was just going to mention Star Wars too. Not everyone watching the movies are die hard fans that read the books and comics, or plays the video games, or watches the TV shows.

So yes, assume people watching are brand new viewers to the minor, offshoot character and introduce them as if they didn't exist before.

Oh that is far along!

Good thing JJ Abrams isn't in charge of Outlander.

Exactly! Also with such long series as Outlander and Star Wars, people are not going to remember every one anyway, so little reminders are a great thing to pop in there!

Yeah, really hoping the quality stays good and the show is able to go on and wrap up everything. The trailer and other tidbits we've gotten look amazing though so I have faith
