I think people overlook those small moments though. They can't handle the subtlety of this show.

They need some kind of CS super anvil. I totally dig the subtlety. Hell, some of last night's stuff was hardly subtle.

MIGHTY- The "fffff" macro is epically awesome!

You wanna know why can't people pick up on the small sutble things? Because it's all we have been having for most of season 3. Yeah they still love each other and they are both in pain but FFS i'm starting to get annoyed at the slow slow slow pace.

We are on episode 3.11 and so far nothing. Imagine that they only had 13 episodes in S3? Would we still get them so far apart then? Off course not, this is all because of that stupid back order of 6 episodes.

First they stall and stall and stall and then in the final 4 episodes it all comes rushing in like a frakking tsunami. These writers bug the hell out of me with the pacing of the seasons.

dolcegrazia 03-23-2010 01:24 PM

I think the slow pace is done because realistically, they would never be able to sustain a relationship through three seasons or even through this third one. There has to be build-up because Sarah's a brick wall and it'd be a highly unsanctioned relationship. I think it's incredibly realistically done. I have no problem concentrating on the fact that we know the two will eventually be together.

Mighty Mouse 01 03-23-2010 01:36 PM

I think it's really, really unfair to say 'so far nothing.' They've been making progress.

dolcegrazia 03-23-2010 01:40 PM

You mean, the writers can't write Boom! Sex!? Grrr. Damn you, development of relationships.

Well said, completely agreed.

They're talking about things, and even still I'm surprised, because seasons 1 & 2 we got next to nothing on that front.

Are you serious bb? You would have preferred just a 13 episode season?

dolcegrazia 03-23-2010 01:43 PM

I totally agree with your last comment, Nic. I didn't even ship them when I first began watching because I didn't really see much of anything in the way of romance.

Mighty Mouse 01 03-23-2010 01:45 PM

I think that's the main negative about them having no competition as a couple. ( To other people, not to me. ) Josh isn't allowed to throw them all around like on Gossip Girl, having everyone date everyone, and then go back and do it again. If Josh put Chuck and Sarah together any earlier, he would have had to break them up. And THAT right there is more unrealistic to come back from, imo.

dolcegrazia 03-23-2010 01:51 PM

I'd rather deal with decades-long build up than a break up because the writers had no other options.

Well, maybe not decades long, but you know what I'm sayin'.

Mighty Mouse 01 03-23-2010 01:52 PM

Well, to give people the benefit of the doubt: if they don't get together soon, even I'll get pretty irritated. But still, good lord. Give them at least the 13 episodes before running the show off the air. I've never seen such selfish idiotic fans.

Sansa 03-23-2010 01:53 PM

My main beef from this season really stems from the obstacles they hve to face... Like the chuck/Hannah and shaw/Sarah. SS isn't done yet, but CH was actually really pointless in terms of bringing us anything new about the CS relationship.

Mighty Mouse 01 03-23-2010 01:54 PM

Oh, Jill and Hannah pissed me off to no end. Completely unnecessary. The writers could have chosen different paths in certain situations ( like the purpose of Shaw ) butttttttt...what are you going to do.

gingerly 03-23-2010 01:55 PM

Yeah, there was supposed to be more to Hannah, but they changed her character a little because KK was so sweet (?) and deleted scenes from her last episode.

Agreed.

Mighty Mouse 01 03-23-2010 01:56 PM

Oh, are you serious?
