Board Closure Discussion - Please Read Last Post.
Hi guys,
Laura and I feel that it may be best to close the board. It is not definite, as of now, but the lack of activity, and our post count for June, has placed us on the Low Post Count List. Not to mention, the post count has been on a continuous decline for some time now. Laura and I feel that we're posting mostly with one another, and many/most threads haven't been posted in for months. We understand that we're currently in a hiatus, but overall, the post count was an issue even when new episodes were airing. Depending on the response to this thread, the board may soon be closed. Please let us know what you think and how you feel about this issue. Thank you.  |

It would be such a loss
 When episodes aired we had 40-60 posts per day- it's a huge difference. I would say- let's wait until new season, probably it would be our last anyway- so... __________________

Thanks for your input, guys.
We would definitely miss the board as well, but we want to do what is best for everyone. Again, this is just a means to discuss the possibility. |

I'd be so sad if it closed, but I totally get the reasoning, and would understand if that's what you guys decide to do. I do think it's better to close on your own terms than get closed because of low post count!

I always felt like I got scolded a lot on this board, because no one liked my opinions, because I'm not interested in a lot of the bigger parts of the show and just like my bits, so that's kinda why I stopped coming. the few threads I cared about had so few posts that I would have just been posting with myself a lot of days.

I'm really sorry you feel that way. We always did our best to ensure that everyone was able to express themselves. We certainly welcomed your posts and respected your opinions.

I would be sad, I just got back to the show after stopping sometime in season 2, so that's why I was absent. I totally understand the reasons and would definitely understand if you guys closed it, it's better to go away with the head held high.
 BTW: Maybe we could do a rewatch? So that the board gets more active. Or maybe make "spam" days, so that we meet up once or twice a week to post at the board together at the same time. Don't know, just some ideas. __________________

The meet-up idea could work well, definitely.
Basically, we just need to know that there are people in this with us. Not that we don't appreciate everyone who is posting here, but in general, we feel kind of alone together. And we need for things to change, obv., what with us not meeting the post requirement. We don't want to close the board, of course, but if threads are going months without activity and the board is practically a ghost town much of the time, it makes us consider it. |

Truthfully, it's hard to post when there is nothing to post about. I think fanforum should give a break or something for shows that are on hiatus. I feel like we're forced to discuss things that have already been discussed before since there is nothing new.
Maybe it would help if there was a new thread created to discuss the new season coming up.....what we think is going to happen, what we hope to happen, the future of the show, etc. I dunno, just an idea. |

I definitely hear what you're saying about hiatus. I don't mind posting pictures and whatnot in individual cast member's threads, discussing other projects of theirs and the like, but it's certainly much easier when Greek is airing new episodes.
