#220 "Isn't it Bromantic" Episode Discussion

#2.20 - "Isn't it Bromantic"

Airdate: June 1, 2009

Overwhelmed with loneliness since Max (Michael Rady) left for his internship, Casey (Spencer Grammer) finds herself latching onto her ZBZ sister's social activities and ultimately interfering with Rusty's (Jacob Zachar) new blossoming romance with Jordan (Johanna E. Braddy). Meanwhile, after enduring a tough roommate situation for months, Calvin (Paul James) finally gets some relief when Evan (Jake McDorman) finds him a new roommate - who happens to have an unexpected secret. And Evan and Cappie's (Scott Michael Foster) ongoing rivalry heats up once more over a girl in the secret society led by Dean Bowman (Alan Ruck). Michael Lange directed the episode written by Mark Stegemann & Adam Milch.

Can't Evan and Cappie just be friends? I guess this will be the big test and once they handle it better this time, they'll know if they can be actual friends? Whatever, I'm stoked for Casey/Rusty stuff. I hope Jordan doesn't interfer too much in Rusty/Casey cuteness.

"Your face is like a compulsion ... Your face doesn't make any sense!"

Bwaha. I totally do this in real life, for like the past month. Everyone I know is ready to disown me, only they totally do it now, too. Oh, Cap.

Cappie/Evan made the ep for me.

That girl that killed all her animals

I adore Ash, I really do, but anytime there's a new gay guy he'd make 'the cutest couple' with Calvin every time. I agree with Calvin on the way that just because they're both gay doesn't mean a damned thing.

at the same time, this is the first guy I can see myself liking Calvin with since Heath. no one else has been good enough. though, I DO agree with Ash about the living together thing. and apparently so does Calvin, since he ran out in his underwear (priceless)

on the Ash note... freaking BRING BACK FISHER. I'm so sick of just hearing about him. I was so excited when she mentioned a date with him, and then Andrew's name wasn't in the guest credits, and I had to headdesk.

I think Rusty's crush on Jordan was so much more cute than them being together. sigh. no good.

love me some Evan/Cappie. they need to refriendsify already! glad the girl turned out to be a nut though. didn't want her coming between them when they've been making so much progress. now they can bond over finding out she was crazy before they got in too deep.

Bwaha! I love Cappie, but for real.

I LOVE Evan :sigh:
I'm discovering this whole new hotness to him that I never noticed before. OMG that nutty girl who killed all her pets :rotfl: I was getting a creepy vibe from her since the second I laid eyes on her!!! OMG Casey/Rusty ARE me & my little bro! But my little brother isn't sweet like Rusty anymore, he used to be but now hes a loner pinhead

The episode was okay for me. I liked the Evan/Cappie scenes, but the rest was just kinda bland for me.

Plus there weren't any C/C scenes:(

I prefer CC light episodes, so I loved this one. Plus, Cartwright Kids plot, just for me.

- Jordan was more tolerable this week, but I still don't like her.
- Evan, however, I love. If they ever have Evan/Rusty make up, I think I'd just die from the love. I'm so shocked at how well they've handled his redemption.
- Cappie was being an ass, so I'm glad Evan called him out on it. I wish Cappie would have listened and stepped back before they knew Alice was crazy.
- I prefer Calvin when he doesn't have a storyline.
- All the pop culture references this episode were awesome. Paging Danny Tanner.
- I'm glad they haven't shown too much of Fisher. I wish Jordan was like that.
- I missed Rebecca.
- Again, Betsy!

I thought Rusty was overreacting big time, but I knew he'd come around. He always does, he is so sweet.

I cracked up at Evan and Cappie's reactions to Alice's life story. When she was like "then I got a cat" and Cappie was like "oh god"

"Your face is like a compulsion. Your face doesn't make any sense!"
AMAZING:rotfl:

THIS. I have been doing this for years now and it pisses off my friends so much hahaha my best friend and roommate, I don't even know WHERE we got it from, but sometime back in 2007 it started and we're the only ones who thought it was funny. Now it's just a habit and when I'm not with him and do it to someone else they're just confused.

I love Calvin. Still getting used to his new dude, I think they're a bit awkward together but I'm sure it'll get better.

Love Evan getting back to everyone's good graces. I like when there is a balance between his bad and nice (that sentence made no sense...).

Rusty totally overreacted, I hate when he does that!!!!

I don't think he did. If it was anyone else, I don't think he would have done that, but brothers and sisters fight over anything.

berlingal 06-05-2009 02:30 PM

You're right. I guess I just thought he was being a little harsh on Casey. Which then just provoked her. They both took the situation too far! Realistic sibling situation.

keep the starlight 06-05-2009 04:16 PM

That's so true. I think siblings are much more quick to get defensive/angry/jealous, you name it, with each other before they would with anyone else.
