I liked Chapter 5. I liked her going through her previous boyfriends, deciding she didn't have a type. I liked reading about those previous relationships.

I still don't like Dex. I still can't get CE out of my head when I'm reading bits about him. :/ It drives me nuts and makes me hate Dex more! LMAO

Reading about Rachel's past relationships was definitely interesting. Told us alot about her I think.

I knew you'd have this problem, Hannah. If the book is this hard, think how difficult it will be to see him in the movie.

Yeah, that chapter just reminded me so much of a friend of mine. She never had a type until she met her husband. lol

I know. :/ I want to see this movie so much but I swear it's gonna be hard, so I've already told a few friends that we must see a late showing when there's hardly anyone around, so I can throw popcorn at the screen whenever CE's on! :/ He's such a huge distraction. I have to skip parts because I'm taken so completely out of it. Ugh. Why wouldn't they cast someone I didn't already hate for Dex?!?!

I feel like no one really has a type until you find "the one". If each person was your actual type, it wouldn't have to end. It would stick. Sometimes people continue finding people with similar traits but there's always something different in the next one than the last. Of course some people also just go with the drastic change from partner to partner because you assume the last one was wrong so you need something completely different. Whatever works.

I also wonder what could have been different if she ever had the guts with Hunter. Would it have changed things after him? You never know how another person could change you and your outlook on love. Maybe she would have ended up with Dex, maybe everything would have been exactly the same. Never know. Just something I thought about.

It bothers me how she uses Marcus. But he's basically doing the same thing since they're both kind of in it together to see how much they can bug Dex/Darcy.

I have a hard time with Marcus. I don't like him but I don't like using him either. It's just not something I can tolerate, even if I get it.

I have to check out the library book again; my boyfriend accidently took it back, so when the library opens again tomorrow, I'll check it out.

I don't care for Marcus in this book and I care for him even less in the next. Plus, seeing how Steve Howey showed up for filming made me wonder if the character can ever redeem himself for me. Guess we'll see.

Take your time getting the book. I don't think you'll miss much.

Marcus isn't that bad to me at this point but haven't seen all that much of him yet.

I think it's just that he's so aloof. That kind of personality tends to bug me. The frat-boyish, let's get our drink on, kind of guy. He does have sweet moments though so that helps.

What'd you guys think of Dex's email? I find it kind of Jim Halpert-y. Could have happened post Casino Night. If he'd had more guts.

And Marcus is another character that I now envision with the actor playing him and Steve Howey looked so dirty in those set pictures!
