I re-watched the pilot because I was taping it for my mother, and I think it might go even beyond ignoring him- Lindsay was very bitter at one point, mentioning that Tom "gave up" on finding the Kiss Me Not killer. I think Lindsay might have been more resentful even than neglectful- she thinks everyone gave up on trying to find the killer, Tom included, and she resented him for that. It seems like this particular case is what blew apart their marriage.

IMO, you can see how much he still loves her just by the way he's looking at her.

The case coming back into their lives is going to be very hard...since it was the big reason why they split -- maybe this time, though it can have the opposite affect and work toward bringing them closer..though the fact that he is getting married again, really ups the angst factor. That's going to make things really complicated. Obviously, he's just settling for this other woman...since he can't have Lindsay. It will be interesting to see how their relationship will play out. Usually, I usually have a hard time getting into relationships like this --- where two people have already been together in the past.......but in this case it really works for me and for the show & it'll be very fascinating to watch if these two can come back together.

I think he's a lot more in love with her than even he knows- he seemed almost disappointed at her seeming lack of response to his engagement (although you could see in her eyes that she was upset). I think part of him wanted her to protest or something.

This is random and only the type of thing that I'd notice, but in the insanely awesome cold open, after Lindsay screams after Theresa hits her car, you can hear Tom like, panicked over the phone, shouting to see if she's okay. Tiny moment, but sweet.

You know, I noticed that too. I thought I was the only one. You could hear his voice full of panic wondering if she was okay. Awwww. Even though it was a very subtle moment for them....I thought it was so sweet!

They were great in the pilot! I've always loved Rob Estes! I can't wait to see how their relationship develops this season. It's going to be some interesting interaction. Especially now that he is going to be getting married.

Poor Lindsay.... They have good chemistry, though. They really feel like an ex married couple.
