I understand the feeling.

"All" that would be needed for the above to become reality is for the rights' holders of T7S to learn of my idea and about my writing education, skills, and experience, want to pursue the cartoon, and hire me as showrunner.

Seriously, though, I'd rather be a consultant (on this series that will never happen ).

I it! And that's interesting you began shipping them once they were officially together. I'm not sure I've ever encountered anyone where that was the case. I am sure that was the case for plenty of people I don't know. But, to my memory, all the J/H fans I know began shipping them anywhere from S1-S3.

Not at all! Just different than what I've generally encountered, which makes it interesting to me.

Jackie's romantic pursuit of Hyde in season 3 is obsessive and doesn't just border on the delusional but is delusional. He flat-out tells her, "I don't like you," and she hears the opposite. She ignores his no and invades his boundaries. Yet in spite of all that, Hyde develops romantic feelings for her (because of other interactions they've had and other sides of her he's experienced).

If they had gotten together from that point, it wouldn't be a very clean start. Them getting together in season 5 is better, imo, because they're on equal footing. No boundary invasion or strange power dynamics.

I do wish they (and the show) would've had them acknowledge that Jackie idolized Hyde (non-romantically) because of the support he gives her in season 2 and how that idolization becomes romantic obsession once he goes to jail for her -- and how he keeps the truth about it a secret even though doing so makes him homeless. He puts Jackie's welfare above his own, despite that his life is put in danger while her life would become more difficult but with obstacles that aren't insurmountable.

Aw! I think so, too. As does the T7S universe Which means, regardless of what is shown on-screen, Jackie and Hyde are together in the fictional dream of T7S (bad writing can't change who the characters inherently are, only write the characters as not themselves).

Jackie and Hyde would have one or two children and maybe a grandchild by now. And J/H would be like Red and Kitty, still have the hots for each other (and only each other) after all these years together.

Jackie and Hyde are the kind of couple where they grow closer through their struggles. They're not perfect people (no one is), but they're perfect for each other.
