It's one of the great things about her character.
 She's very complex, and when written well, her egocentrism often mixes seamlessly with her genuine support (especially in the pre-S4 seasons before she grows and changes through he relationship with Hyde).__________________

Jackie and Hyde challenged and inspired each other to grow and change for the better. Their chemistry largely (but not wholly) stems from that.

 Although this discussion really belongs in the J/H thread, Jackie and Hyde would've been high school sweethearts who got married. Jackie originally thought she and Kelso would've had that fate, but nope (despite what any sequel show would have has believe).  __________________
