DONNA:
Punishing Eric. He knew all about Kelso
and Laurie and didn't even tell me.

HYDE:
What a bastard.

DONNA:
Oh, like you didn't know.

HYDE:
Of course I knew. Everybody knew.
You're the only one that didn't know.

DONNA:
Shut up, Hyde. I'm mad at him.

HYDE:
Look, you don't rat on your friends. That's
just the way it is. Now I'm laying traps left
and right trying to get Kelso caught. But
I'm not gonna tell on him 'cause then
I'd be a rat. And that's what Forman
would've been if he had told you.

DONNA:
He still should've told me.

HYDE:
Give him a break, Donna. I mean, the guy
kisses your ass. He does everything for you,
and you're not even sleeping with him.

DONNA:
Yeah, I guess that's true.

HYDE:
You're lucky he even talks to you! In fact,
I would have dumped you months ago!
But you know, I'm old fashioned, so...

DONNA:
Okay, Hyde, thanks for the heart-to-heart.

HYDE:
Ah, get bent.

a fight between Donna's parents.]

DONNA:
This sucks!

HYDE:
Well, you wanna talk about it?

DONNA:
No. ... You know they wanna
date other people?

HYDE:
Your mom’s dating?

DONNA:
Mm-hmm.

HYDE:
So where am I? Do I have a shot?

DONNA:
Oh, could you please date my mom?
It’ll make my life so much better, Hyde.

HYDE:
Hey, call me Dad!

DONNA:
Yeah, but you know what the worst part is?

HYDE:
Watching your parents split up and knowing
there’s not a damn thing you can do about it?

DONNA:
Exactly! And you know what else? My mom
moved out of their bedroom into the
guestroom.

HYDE:
Yeah it sucked when my dad split. But I can honestly
say that my parents divorce made me the man
I am today.

DONNA:
Oh, man. Am I gonna go crazy and
think the government is out to get me too?

HYDE:
The government is out to get you.

HYDE:

watching stupid Donahue. ... Hey,

DONNA:
Eric's gonna be so mad.

HYDE:
Yeah, I'm just kidding about the ''do it'' stuff.
I'm sorry about your mom.

DONNA:
Thanks.

[Hyde holds Donna in silence for over a minute.]

HYDE:

Eric -- what a dink, right? You know, I had to call
everybody and tell them the wedding's off.

HYDE:
Look, man ... I mean, I know you're mad --, but,
you know, Forman was trying to do the right thing.
He just did it in the wrong way.

DONNA:
Yeah, but, Hyde, I don't care why he did it. I mean,
I can't ever forgive him. When I called my mom,
I just cried and cried.

HYDE:
Really? I can't see you crying. I've seen Forman crying.
He does a lot of, "Shut up! I'm not crying!"

DONNA:
I want to be mad. Don't make me laugh

[Donna shoves Hyde's shoulder,
and he falls off the water tower.]

DONNA:
Oh, my God! Hyde, are you okay?

HYDE:
I'm too old for this crap!

DONNA:
Why am I stronger than all
the guys I hang out with?
