Top Five Favorite Things about That '70s Show 1. Intro - I really like the intro with them riding around in the car, singing to the theme song. Plus, the theme song is cool. 2. Humour - That '70s Show is a genuinely funny show and as a fan of humour, I absolutely appreciate that. :D 3. Characters - I like that not only the main characters are all interesting in their own way, but the side characters are usually great too. Like Leo, need I say more? :hippie: 4. Setting - The '70s are a really interesting era to me. 5. The fact that it brought us all together on this board - 'Nuff said. |
Lulu, great list! :hippie:
Top Five Favorite Things about That '70s Show 1. Hyde. -- He's fantastically complex, not to mention hot. I love how the show the developed him (for the most part :P). 2. Jackie and Hyde's Relationship -- It feels so real on-screen. So many TV relationship feel forced or acted. Not theirs. 3. The 1970s Setting -- This is what initially interested me in the show. It's especially present in season one, and I wish most of the '70s socioeconomics of the era hadn't been dropped. They helped shaped the characters' storylines at the beginning of the series. 4. The Humor -- Even most of the not-so-great episodes make me laugh. 5. The Rest of the Cast/Characters -- The show is well-acted and full of likable, interesting, and developing (and funny) characters. |
Thanks, mine is kinda general though. I don't know, looking back I don't think anything more specific means A LOT to me.
Great list, Lisa. :high_five: |
Great list, I will do mine soon. :)
|
Thanks, Lulu & Colleen! :D
Lulu, you're forgetting one very important specific: Bob. :P |

Kind of bumping this since I forgot about it, but wanted to answer ( I know few weeks late)
Top Five Favorite Things about That '70s Show 1. Jackie/Hyde's relationship-I love mostly everything about their relationship. The chemistry was off the charts, and they felt so real. 2. How it brought all of us together on here like Lisa said, this place is another home. 3. Hyde-He is really complex like Lisa said, and I always liked seeing his development. 4. The basement-I loved scenes with them all hanging out down there, and how they all kind of grew up down there. 5. All the characters-They all had something great to add to the show. 6. I am adding a 6 because we all know I cheat sometimes at these. Jackie, I really love her character, although shallow at times, I always felt that their was a deeper, more fragile side to her that wasn't usually shown. |
Colleen, I  your list (and not just because you echoed some of mine :P).
#6 is so right. The S8 showrunners and sometimes Jackie's friends think Jackie's super-selfish, but she actually isn't. She can be really self-centered, arrogant (a self-defense mechanism, hiding her insecurity), and have her selfish moments, like anyone, but she supports Donna through all her Eric problems from "Eric's Birthday" (102) until the end of S7. She buys Kelso a ton of presents while they're dating. And she fights her narcissistic tendencies, bossiness, and other less-than-stellar behaviors while she dates Hyde. She's also very forgiving and loving, and her complexity is why I enjoy writing her so much. |
