The show really demonstrated the strength of R/K's relationship when Red lost his job. Red should've supported Kitty with as much respect and, quite frankly, dignity when she went through menopause. But in season 5, the writers started choosing punchlines over (humor arising from) characterization.

I always thought how Kitty tried really hard to support Red when he lost his job was great. I actually can sympathize with Kitty because I have been through something similar with my husband.
In retrospect, with what we had been shown of early Red/Kitty's relationship Red would have been more supportive when Kitty was going through menopause. __________________

They really had a good balance with each other. You could tell after all those years they still loved each other.

I LOVED Kitty's laugh as well. It was so cute.
I agree, until fake Laurie, they casted great for the show. He probably would have taken it out on Eric, or maybe hide out in the garage. __________________
