In season one, Kelso and Hyde seemed closer than they do in the rest of the series. They skip classes together and nap in the Vista Cruiser ("The Keg"). Hyde's the one sitting shot-gun when Kelso has the only wheels, and both Eric and Fez have to sit in the back ("Stolen Car"). I really would've liked to see more of their friendship, but Jackie put them at odds from the get-go.

In season one, Hyde clearly felt like Jackie was monopolizing Kelso's time and mistreating him. They were only juniors in high school, and -- as far as we know -- Jackie was Kelso's first real girlfriend.

They did seem closer in season one than the rest of the series. Jackie was bound to always be between them though it seems.

She really was -- and then Kelso kept getting between her and Hyde. :pout: He needed to, like, go off to the police academy and stay there for a few years until Jackie and Hyde got married. Of course, that wouldn't have stopped Kelso from hitting on her. Just like Eric and Donna becoming engaged didn't stop Kelso from hitting on Donna.

I would have liked Kelso and Hyde to kind of come to an understanding about Hyde and Jackie down the line if that makes sense.

:lol: I just watched "What to Expect When You're Expecting" and there is a whole storyline about dad meet ups at the park with their kids and they are all pushing strollers and talking about their wives. Since Danny is now a proud papa and Ashton is about to join the club, I could just picture them doing this for some reason :rotfl:

I bet they've had daddy/daddy-to-be convos, for sure. :nod: Maybe we'll have T7S for the next generation, starring the actors' kids. :lol:

Once Kelso met Brooke, Kelso let go of Jackie -- so Kelso had that understanding for about two seasons. :pout: Until the S7 finale. Kelso should've married Brooke at the end of S6, taken Eric and Donna's place. Then he should've moved to Chicago and left J/H in peace ... instead of in pieces. :P

That's a good way of putting it Lisa. If Kelso had just married Brooke, maybe the peace between Kelso and Hyde would have stayed.
