 Classic Comics Saturday --- Those ’70s Comics: 834 Inspired by episode 511 - “The Girl I Love”  --- Comments: Eric makes the observation that Nina is a combination of Jackie and Hyde in one person. She does have some aspects of them. Beyond that, her character is hard to pin down. I don’t think she and Fez have any true chemistry. They don’t challenge each other to grow and change. Yes, Nina doesn’t give up on Fez for being bad a sex the first time he ever has it. She also defies her parents’ racism, but neither of those story / character elements are enough to make her and Fez an interesting couple (to me, at least). __________________

 Classic Comics Sunday --- Those ’70s Comics: 835 Inspired by episode 511 - “The Girl I Love”  --- Comments: This is a good moment between Jackie on the show, and I enjoyed adding the surrealistic elements that are symbolic of their feelings. I also enjoyed having Jackie call Hyde on statement that putting on a dress and slow-dancing with Kelso on Soul Train would be preferable to him than going to Jackie’s Girl Scout event. Jackie already proved she’s capable of not putting up with Hyde’s crap in “Over the Hills and Far Away” (5x06). He needs that kind of challenge in a romantic partner. The aforementioned crap stems from a childhood self-protection mechanism, and he needs to learn people who he loves -- and whom he believes love him -- can be trusted and that he doesn’t need constantly to deflect the truth with a cutting remark. --- Star Vector Brush Set PS7 Vector.Rainbow.Resource __________________

Classic Comics Saturday --- Those ’70s Comics: 836 Inspired by episode 511 - “The Girl I Love”  --- Comments: The last scene between Jackie and Hyde in this episode on the show made me wonder what might have happened afterward. In “Street Fighting Man” (7x14), Hyde offers to walk Jackie home. Despite that episode’s revisionist-history statement (through Hyde) that Hyde and Jackie would “just kind of hang out [together before they were ever in a romantic relationship], I liked the idea of Hyde walking Jackie home, so I incorporated that into their romantic relationship. --- Vector ‘Style’ Heart Brushes from melsbrushes.co.uk __________________
