 Classic Comics Saturday --- Those ’70s Comics: 593 Inspired by episode 505 - “Ramble On”  --- Comments: The T7S writers should’ve had a character call out Kelso’s hypocrisy. He’s all upset and self-righteous about his friend (Hyde) dating his ex (Jackie). Donna and Eric buy into that self-righteousness, even when Kelso hits on Donna – his friend’s current girlfriend – during season 5, and Kelso tries to grope her breast in season 4, succeeds to kiss her neck several times in season 3, and grabs her butt and keeps his hand there in season 2. Maybe the T7S writers wanted us to feel sympathy for Kelso. To make us feel torn between our desire to (or interest in) see(ing) Jackie and Hyde together and our loyalty (*cough*) to Kelso.  Classic Comics Sunday --- Those ’70s Comics: 594 Inspired by episode 505 - “Ramble On”  --- Comments: Ugh. Nina got very bad treatment in these early comics. It’s ridiculous because she’s a strong woman in position of power, and my writing reflects misogynistic fears about that. Classic Comics Saturday --- Those ’70s Comics: 595 Inspired by episode 505 - “Ramble On”  --- Comments: This scene on the show didn’t need improvement, but I wanted to go deeper and explore what might’ve happened after Jackie and Hyde kissed. My interpretation of their relationship, based on certain moments from seasons 1-7, is that we got to see only bits and pieces of what lies under the surface.
