It also illustrates how Donna’s fear causes her to project a personality she likes onto Casey rather than making her aware of who Casey actually is – and what he’s actually saying. I increased Casey’s Kelso-ness in the comics, too.  Classic Comics Sunday --- Those ’70s Comics: 328 Inspired by episode 416 - “Donna Dates a Kelso” --- Comments: Today’s comic shows how Fez, despite his desperation to lose his virginity, puts Rhonda’s needs above his own. It’s unfortunate T7S’s writers didn’t know how to handle actors departures from the show. They usually damaged a character – or characters – and/or relationship to explain why the departing actor’s character left Point Place. S1-S4 Fez would not have taken Casey Kelso’s advice and hurt Rhonda the way he does in at the end of season 4. Early!Fez or, imo, real!Fez makes inappropriate comments because of cultural differences and his lack of understanding the limits of a joke. He’s not a pervert who’d take a picture up his female friends’ skirts or hide in their closets or spy on them while they take a shower. With his S2-S4 girlfriends (i.e. Patty, Caroline, and Rhonda), he is polite and respectful of their boundaries. He’s romantic, not creepy. He doesn’t take advantage of a drunk Jackie in “Roller Disco” (3x05). But by groping Rhonda against her wishes, he starts on the path toward the destruction of his character. --- Colleen, thank you for always saying such nice things about the comics.  __________________
