 Classic Comics Sunday --- Those ’70s Comics: 209 Inspired by episode 313 - “Dine and Dash” --- Comments: Unlike the comics, the show never explores the aftermath of “Jackie Bags Hyde”. Jackie would’ve shared with Donna what happened during her date with Hyde, and Donna likely would’ve shared it with Eric. Fez and Kelso are both present when Hyde tells Jackie they’re “going on a freakin’ date.” Today’s comic deals with the witnesses.  I can't get too mad at Eric. If everyone knew, Jackie and Hyde would've had to deal with their kiss instead of ignoring it. I miss Jackie's wrench. Will it ever come back? |

Classic Comics Saturday --- Those ’70s Comics: 210 Inspired by episode 313 - “Dine and Dash” --- Comments: I enjoy making Eric a little more naive than he’s portrayed on the show, but he does have some very naive moments throughout the series. This is one of them, and I have the other characters point that out by not bothering to disguise their motives as they do in the episode. __________________

Classic Comics Sunday --- Those ’70s Comics: 211 Inspired by episode 313 - “Dine and Dash” --- Comments: Jackie and Hyde’s relationship continues to evolve in the comics, in subtle and not-so-subtle ways, bridging the gap between their S1-S3 interactions and their S5-S7 interactions. In today’s comic, she lends him the very wrench she uses against him earlier in the series. It’s a sign of friendship. The gang orders Eric and Donna three cakes in the comics instead of just one, and they also call Eric and Donna’s parents to bail them out. Their comic!versions though it would be funnier that way. __________________
