If Donna "broke the system," as Eric might call it and everyone felt safe calling Red dumbass and talking to him the way he talks to them, Red would think he'd entered The Twilight Zone.

That could've been a good fantasy sequence on the show.

You don't think Kitty would become sick at how her husband's being disrespected all around town and in their own home?

I think she might enjoy his humility at first then realize that people have become abusive. She'd tell Red he has to take control of the situation so people will treat him with respect again.

Maybe she'd even become Red-like herself and tell the town where they can stuff it and why Red deserves their respect. They'd be frightened of her the same way they were of Red, and Red would get respect out of the extension of the fear-respect people now have for his wife.

That's how T7S should've ended.

That would be an interesting version of a T7S ending.

Better than what we did get (but that's not saying much).

Reminds me a little of The Godfather. I'm imagining Eric watching his mom from the hallway while people come up to her in a room, bow down a little, and kiss her ring.

Eric: Mom?

The door slowly closes, hiding Kitty from view.

Eric: Mom?

The End.

The show had enough filler and story rehash (unfortunately) in its later sceasons to fit in funny and characterizing scenes / stories instead. Too bad they can't go back in time, read this message board, use these ideas, and pay me and give me a writing credit for them.
