Yeah, character growth that was just ignored is one thing that bothers me a lot about T7S; it happened with just about everyone.

One random thing I noticed watching through season 6 today; I think Betsy might have been named after Kelso's grandmother, cause he mentioned that was his grandma's name. Kinda interesting I thought, since I think Brooke was the one who named her; maybe she picked up on that.

Jackie's reaction to hearing Betsy's name: "Gasp! A fat girl's name." Though Betsy's full name is really Elizabeth, supposedly.

Interesting fact about Brooke. Her last name is "Rockwell," and her family's from Chicago. There's a nice neighborhood in Chicago called "Rockwell Crossing".

Had Brooke stayed on the show as a regular, I wonder if Kelso would've proposed to her.

I would have loved to see Kelso propose to Brooke, it probably would be one of my favorite Kelso moments.

I watched "Baby, We've Got a Good Thing Going" the other day. Kelso takes care of Betsy for the day. And afterward, he tells Brooke something like, "I know I haven't been around much, but I want to be part of her life. I want her to know me."

That's a little weird. Betsy was probably six-months-old by that time, and after the events in season 6, I can't see Kelso keeping himself out of Betsy's life the way the show depicted.

I would've loved to see him propose to Brooke, instead of sticking him with Hyde's sister. Had she been on the show longer or became a regular, I think we would have gotten more of them.

Also, we never even saw a real 'breakup' between Kelso and Brooke on the show; it seemed one minute they were still together, then she has the baby and Kelso ends up with Angie. At least they should have talked about where they were leaving things when her mother showed up to bring her back to Chicago.

And yep, I thought that was weird too that the show portrayed him staying out of Betsy's life for a while. Inconsistencies...

I thought the way they ended their relationship between Kelso and Brooke didn't really have a breakup, she just went to Chicago and left. I would have liked to see them develop their relationship more.

That really is weird. Brooke moves to Chicago so her mom can help her with Betsy. But that didn't mean Kelso's relationship with Brooke -- or Betsy -- had to end.

And I still maintain the Kelso/Angie storyline was lame. It was to integrate Angie more into the group, I get it. But talk about rehash.

I could not stand Kelso/Angie. He and Brooke had a good thing going. I understand that maybe the actress playing Brooke didn't want to be on the show anymore, but they still could have maintained an off camera relationship.

The show was terrible with breakups -- with two exceptions: Eric and Donna's in "The Promise Ring" and and Jackie and Hyde's in "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You". Fez and Big Rhonda, anyone?

It must've been in the T7S show bible that Kelso's character was either always with a girl or chasing after a girl on-screen. Hence, with Shannon Elizabeth's exit as a regular character, Kelso had to get a new girlfriend.

I liked when Brooke came back in season 7 and Kelso babysat for Betsy. He really wanted to bond with her, and it seemed like they could have been such a cute family.
