This is the place for the shippers of the best couple in Point Place, Eric Forman and Donna Pinciotti. It's been over 7 seasons and Eric and Donna are still as sweet and endearing as ever. Eric may have left for Africa, but his heart will always be in Point Place, with the only girl he's ever loved. And now that Eric returned from Africa, and they kissed, we know that they are happily married with their red headed kids running around.

Thanks for the new thread.:cool: I love the OP. I think that after watching "Ramble On" that we see that Donna is okay with giving Eric a promise ring and I think that she simply needed time to get used to the idea and I liked that Eric hated the ring but loved what it meant and he realized that it was the thought that counts. I thought that the writers came across as unmotivated and it wasn't just Eric and Donna as the seasons went on and I think that probably was part of the reason why people wanted to leave. I think that Hyde and Jackie had it a lot worse than Eric and or Donna ever did. I also think that during the later seasons that it is obvious that they do love each other but, it's often done in a more subtle manner. I think that when they finally see each other in the finale that it's really a beautiful moment and it showed perfectly that Eric and Donna don't hold onto anger and that they can move forward.

I love the scene in "Hot Dog" where Eric proposes because Donna is totally not expecting it and Eric really doesn't expect her to say "Yes" but she does.:D I also think that Eric and Donna do have some great dramatic scenes and Eric showed some restraint in "Love Wisconsin Style" when he told her he couldn't be her second choice even though he was so clearly and still completely in love with Donna.

I always loved "Sparks.":D I always thought that Jackie always ideally wanted the kind of relationship that Eric and Donna have but, I always felt that she couldn't appreciate a relationship with any guy because she spent a lot of time focusing on getting married. I think that while Donna never had to worry about Eric cheating on her I always thought that it was a good if slight change of pace to see Donna become jealous of Eric because usually there's this sense that everyone around him thinks that Donna is out of his league.

I was thinking of trying my hand at an E/D fanfic that tries to provide a write up of all the missing scenes ......

for e.g - during and after their breakup, we never really see Donna trying to explain to Eric why she feels its too early to be exchanging commitment rings.

I think the 'talk' they have in the van in California is too brief to cover all the bases :)

Have been seeing a lot of S3 and 4 these past days ....just saw 'The Promise Ring'...:(:(:(:(

Doesn't it seem a bit out of character though for Donna to be gettin 'serious' with Casey so soon after she breaks up with Eric because she wants to be free and not have a high school relationship limit her college and career decisions.....

I mean, I guess I get her dating Casey , but the whole ' I love you' thing with Casey seems like they started watering down Donnas character right in S4 to what it finally became in later seasons ....
