Nate Archibald grew up with his two best friends - the girl he has always loved,
Blair Waldorf, and Serena van der Woodsen. After Serena departs for boarding school
after their one-night-stand, Nate continues to date Blair. When Serena returns, however,
tensions are stirred up. Family-wise Nate soon learns that his dad is struggling with a
cocaine addiction and confronts his father about it, only to be violently attacked. Blair
watches from the window and later breaks up with him. He grills his best friend, Chuck
Bass, for information about Blair, and receives a false impression that Blair is dating
Carter Baizen, a sworn enemy of Nate. After going to Monaco with Chuck over winter
vacation, Nate returns and Blair gives him the cold shoulder. However, after he attempts
to save her from expulsion and gets suspended in the process, the two begin dating
again until he learns about the secret relationship between Blair and Chuck. Now the time
has come for Nate to spread his wings and explore the world outside the elite. Who
better to help him with that than V?

SEASON ONE

The tale begins with these two beautiful teens on their individual quests for love. Nate Archibald is a young man who seemingly has it all. But, nothing is as it seems in the Upper East Side. His journey begins with guilt as he copes with the consequences of sleeping with his girlfriend’s (Blair Waldorf) best friend (Serena Van Der Woodsen). When Serena breezes back into town, Nate confesses all to Blair and is unpleasantly surprised when she chooses to forgive him and work on their relationship. But, Nate can’t seem to stay away from Serena (who doesn’t seem to return his affection) and as a result he watches relationship with Blair continue to disintegrate. As his love life is falling apart, Nate must also deal with his family. His father is hiding something and he soon learns that the captain is not the man Nate thought he was. It all comes crashing down one night when Blair finally breaks it off and Nate watches his father get carried away by the police. With his life falling apart, he reaches out to the one stable thing in his life—Blair. But, unknown to him, she has moved on with his best friend Chuck. Nate pours himself into his renewed relationship with Blair even sticking his neck out for her when he fears she is at risk of being kicked out of school. But, before he realizes it his new found happiness comes crashing down when he discovers that Blair had hooked up with his best friend when they were apart. So, Nate is left to try and move on and this is when he meets a young girl who might be just what he’s looking for……

Vanessa Abrams thought life was pretty simple. In her eyes, there were two types of people. Those who worked for what they had and those who had things handed to them on a silver platter. She was soon to learn that life was never that clear cut. She returned from her sojourn in Vermont ready to take her best friend Dan on his offer of true love, only to learn that he had moved on. She watched from the distance as she saw Serena have the love she so desired. Eventually, Vanessa came to terms with Dan’s relationship with Serena. Little did she know that he would be the one to introduce her to the Nate.

On their first meeting she belittled him and it was only when he dropped a letter that would open her eyes to the truth that her simplistic views would come crashing down. Vanessa on a mission to apologize for her rude behaviour meets Nate for coffee in a small Brooklyn diner. Little did they know that sparks would fly? Day turned into night and before she knew it, Vanessa was pouring her heart out to Nate. Later that evening, their hearts desires came crashing together in a feverish kiss that took all our breath away. They came from different worlds, but they would soon learned that they had much to learn from one another.
