Unpopular opinion, but I actually liked them best when they were fighting. Not only did they have some great fights (the cat fight at Yale, anyone?

), but those scenes really showed how well Leighton and Blake can express emotions. I guess it just goes back to the whole the person who knows you the best can also hurt you the worst.

I loved their ups and downs. Only S5 was a dairsaster for all... That down was very low and unbearable, unnecessary and stupid in many terms

But I felt like they were at odds so much and not friends for majority of the show. I loved them so much when they were besties.

I think them being at odds so often actually made them appear more like besties. They weren't afraid to tell each other the truth, to be caddy b*tches around each other. Better to be who you are than pretend all the time. And, like Chuck said in 3x09, sometimes Serena can't read Waldorf subtext and Blair needs to prove that she loves Serena the most.

Is it weird that I'm more interested in finding out how Trudy & Penny Lane and Baxter & Penny are adjusting to their blended families than details about Adam & Leighton or Ryan & Blake's respective relationships?

Like I posted on instagram, seeing Leighton out walking Trudy and Penny Lane by herself made it all the more real to me that she's married. Shows just how blended her family has become that she's able to walk her and Adam's dogs together without the dogs snapping at one another. And how funny that they both ended up with a big dog through marriage and a small dog of their own.

I love that scene! Serena's face when she sees how upset Blair is and then the way Blair runs to cuddle with her just kills me.

I look at them as sisters because the dynamic jealousy was very much similar to sisters.
