They should have just let Mark-Paul use his natural, brown hair in the new SBTB.

He always said that he HATED having to dye his hair blonde as a kid. It may have suited Zack, but it wasn't a pleasant experience for him.

Now, they stupidly have him playing Governor of California The writing isn't very good to be honest. The new writers have completely ignored that Tiffani's character Kelly studied hard in the College episodes to be a Doctor.

I have not watched the Saved By the bell reboot yet but it is on my list to watch.

I mean, he probably got some gray hair by now, which is totally fine to show. He is in that age, and it solves the problem blonde vs. brown.

It seems to me he also did some facial surgery that did not go so well.

I always wondered what was the thing with the hair and if they died it, why they did it. He looks so much better with brown hair.

TBH, I never liked writing for that show, but this does sound particularly problematic. Very unfair to her character. And women in general

Lovely dress and hairstyle for her even though her angry attitude was so forced in that episode because she never liked her mother being with Kelly's father before.

They basically wanted him to be blonde to fulfill the quota of Zack illustrating the All-American surfer-looking dude from California.

I suppose it worked because I don't know a single fan who's aware that he wasn't actually blonde... But Mark-Paul has been honest that it wasn't fun to have to keep re-dyeing it.

They've literally acted as if the College season didn't happen and that Zack + Kelly never emotionally matured after Middle School.

The only way you'd know they have grown up is because they have a son who they both dearly love.

But yeah, the fact that they didn't have Kelly follow her dream of being a Doctor really, really annoys me. The SBTB College Years writers had developed that story arc for a while.

I never knew Mark’s hair was dyed until years later when I saw his natural color.

Tiffani looks great in those pictures.

I felt so bad for him when I found out. James Marsters hated dyeing his hair for Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer too, but at least he was an adult -- Mark-Paul was a young teenager when he had to do it

I suppose it paid off though, the effort - because he and Tiffani made a great looking couple. And you always remember the blonde/brunette contrast of them.

The key thing is that they all look like they still love working together. The scripts may not be great anymore, but it's lovely seeing Mark-Paul and Tiffani back together with Mario and Elizabeth again. The two Golden Couples of the original show.

Me too I would always rush home hoping that my parents had taped the latest SBTB episode. I was glued to Nickelodeon in those days.

I liked that Tiffani was growing her hair out a little.

SBTB, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Sister, Sister were my regulars such a great channel back then.
