OFF TOPIC

Please avoid excessive off topic conversations. The conversations in the thread, should match the title of the designated thread. We're certainly not asking you all to refrain from saying "hey" to all your buddies on the boards, but please do not make that the entirety of all your posts. Being off topic includes things like "Hi" or "How are you?" in every post and/or posting only smilies. Please keep the discussions on topic about character/ship that thread is dedicated to.

Commenting about what anyone posts in their own LJ or on another board as a way to bring up conversations or rants about any shipper, couple, friendship, poster, or episode should not take place on the 90210 board threads here at Fan Forum.

APPRECIATION THREADS

Appreciation threads are not fronts for anti sentiments. Appreciation threads are meant to discuss the couple or character in the thread topic, and that’s it. If you do not like the couple or character do not post in their appreciation thread. No taunting or bashing should occur, and it won’t be tolerated here.

BASHING

There will be no bashing on this board. We take this rule very seriously. It covers everything – posters, real people (i.e. cast, writers, producers, etc.) and fan bases. There have been problems with veiled and subtle comments against various fanbases and it will not be tolerated. Remember to respect everyone and their opinions. In an effort not to offend or hurt someone please remember to reread your comments before you post. Doing so will help ensure that every poster is respected and bashing is not taking place.

• In addition to that, lurking on opposite threads (those you don’t ship or appreciate) is firmly discouraged. Talking about what other posters have said in their respective threads in your thread will not be allowed.

• We suggest that you don't go into any thread that you are not a shipper of and know that you will not like what you will most likely read there. If for some reason you do have a problem about a discussion in one of these threads, PLEASE PM us about the issue.

DOUBLE/TRIPLE POSTING

Please refrain from double and triple posting. There are exceptions, such as when FF or your computer is running slow and freezes or times out on you and accidentally puts more than one post through; we understand you can't control that. And if there's a thread which hasn't been posted in for a while and you'd like to add to it with new information, then you can post. But other than that, please do NOT double or triple post.

Talking about what other posters/fan bases have said in their respective threads in another thread is not allowed.

Please do not post spoilers about the new 90210 even if they are in spoiler tags. All spoiler discussions should take place on the spoiler board.

SHIPPER THREADS – STRIKES. Please read carefully.

We have had history of tension at the BH 90210 board because of shipper fights. We definitely want to avoid such conflicts that might lead to shipper wars and awkwardness at the board.

That’s why we’re implementing the “3-Strike Rule.”

This rule is very simple and works this way: Every shipper thread will be given a strike when one of the rules is broken. Once the shipper group gets three strikes, that thread will be closed down for 24 hours. All strikes expire 3 months after they’ve been issued.

We hope you understand we’re doing this for the best interest of the board, since we’ve realized most of the thread warnings are often ignored. We want everyone to be respectful of the rules as well as the fellow members on it. And mostly, we want to keep a friendly and welcome atmosphere in every single thread at the board.

Some of the strikes we will be looking for are the following:

• Bashing of Kelly, Dylan, Brenda or Brandon in the Brandon/Kelly, Bandits and Swingers thread. Basically, bashing of any couple in any of the opposite shipper threads.
• Bashing and making fun of any couples. Constructive criticism and comparisons are fine, but it will be our discretion as to whether or not it crosses the line.
• Making constant and funny remarks about other shippers groups/couples that are only meant to spark-off/ provoke other BH 90210 posters.
• Bashing either fanbase or taking posts from their thread.
• Making fun of titles, or using titles that take jabs at the other fanbase.

also, just wondering if there was like a thread i could go to to ask questions? cos i was sure in s1 they mentioned that they were juniors. and then i assumed s2 would be senior year. but then the s3 dvds say that is senior year... did they just want to get another season of them in high school so changed that??

Yeah, they had a second Junior Year so they could work David into the gang more realistically before graduation (and extend the life of the series, since no one had yet transitioned kids from H.S. to college on a show, and they didn't know if they'd get the green light to try). Lord knows it was still a bit unrealistic to me, though, since I don't know anyone who can take Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in the same year.

There was also Summer School to be had for young David. Lots of studying in S3 so he could keep up with Donna and her friends.

Oh, and you can ask questions in any of the threads. Just try to find the one that matches the topic best.

thanks for the answer. thought it might be something like this. so david ends up graduating at the same time as them? crazy, kinda seemed weird that they included a freshman as a main cast member, when the others were junior when it started...
