I did not like that tease though. He was her step-brother and her other best friend's boyfriend, and he was really trying to behave at that point, so I do not get this. Kelly already had the situation with one best friend's boyfriend at the time (Brenda/Dylan), and she supposedly did not like Dylan persuading her, so why tease David? He knew he could not have her already, and there was no need to "teach him a lesson" at that time or whatever the point here was supposed to be. I wonder what Donna would say about it.

I mean, it mainly served a comical purpose and to sell Kelly as the girl everyone dreams about. I could understand such a teasing scene in S2, as a sort of punishment for David's S1 stalkerish behavior when he was filming her and her friends in intimate scenes without their knowledge or consent, but not in S3 when he behaved ok.
