I'm on a season 8 re-watch and I cannot stress enough how dirty they do David's character in much of this show. He gets back together with Valerie on a basic rebound from Donna and his ignorance of Val's feelings about the whole thing basically lead to her insufferable situation where she pins a sexual assault charge on Noah :facepalm:

What a pity that David supports her the most about something that's not true at all

I also couldn`t stand that. It sucked so hard.

It did :nod: :( It gets a little better by the 'Reunion' episode, but their dynamic has tensed up so much ever since they split in the sixth season. I don't like how they use Donna to make Val feel insecure about David, even though David once said that Val meant everything to him.

The David/Donna thing never really feels natural in the later years. It just feels like the writers are trying to stay stuck in the past. It brings them down, if anything.

Oh gosh :rotfl: Poor David. One thing I did like about the later years, particularly seasons 7/8, was how self-aware David became. He had this natural self-deprecating side emerge in how he doubted whether anyone believed he was a talented musician.

Hmm that appears to be a season 6 look. (Trying to guess based on his hair length.) Also he looks so happy :sun:
