I know, and what really sucks is that Steve was one of Brandon and Kelly's biggest supporters (especially in Season 7) yet when Brandon's out of the picture, he's suddenly fangirling her with Dylan.

Apparently when Brandon goes, the rule is "out of sight, out of mind"

They really downplayed Brandon's character - it was disgusting.

You can say soulmates 1000 times but it doesn't mean they are - you have to act upon it. In fact, BK had showed more soulmate material by action without uttering those words - action speaks louder than words

Really despicable for them to act as if Brandon wasn't the glue who held this show together.

He's the first person we're introduced to in the entire show (Pilot memories ) and he damn well should've been the last.

I'd have given anything to see Season 7 be the last season for the gang.

Ending on S7 would be a good thing considering that was the end of their school days. But I think S8 was part of the contract; so they had to do one more year. I'm not sure at what point in S8 did Jason announced that he was leaving but I wonder if his cheating storyline was his punishment. I don't think I recall hearing Jason's opinion about Brandon's cheating storyline.

Loved #Brelly they were true soulmates. They Only made Kelly and Dylan "soulmates" because Shannen left. Dylan were always suppose to end up with Brenda again. And Brandon with Kelly. Due to Jason deciding to leave they changed it. Even Luke Said back then rather see Dylan end up alone then with Kelly , but understood the drama it would create. I didn't like it when Jason left. The last of the Walsh'es. That was the end of an era. The end of the show for me. Agreed season 7 should have been the last. But they were contracly tied to atleast season 8. Even now Jason Said he regrett leaving especially since it only went on for one more season. He would have stayed the entire show. I do hope they do right by them now

I totally agree that the show was pointless without the Walshes. It felt like any other glamorous rich kids show without them at the heart of it.

The Powers That Be can be vindictive like that. Look at how they shut Brenda out of most of the group scenes in Season 4 (and even Season 3)

It would be interesting if somebody asked Jason his opinion on Season 8's direction, during interviews for the upcoming show

Snowingjemily, BK were more soulmates from their actions not from verbal claims.

I think we were all saddened about Jason leaving the show, and well the cheating storyline was the beginning of the end for BK.
Luke also said that he would rather have Jennie's character end up with Brandon. It was the end of the era for me when Brandon left in early S9 - no Walshes no 90210!!

Jason did regret leaving but the damage was done and nothing can be done about it.

I miss that site called TELEVISION WITHOUT PITY -- I don't know if any of you guys ever visited it, but it was basically where reviews were posted for TV shows and people always made fun of shows and brutally called them out on silly moments in episodes

I used to read Veronica Mars and BH90210 reviews

Whoever did the 90210 ones didn't really like Brandon BUT they did like the beach moments for Brandon/Kelly in the episode where she chooses herself (Season 5) AND they admitted that the non-wedding made a mockery of everything that had happened for BK in the past 4 seasons.


Brandon's exit was shortly followed by Valerie's -- what's bizarre to me is that Valerie was in the show longer than Brenda and both of Brandon and Valerie's greatest romances were screwed over in the end.

KingMikeTarzan agreed they were. I always been a Beelly shipper. Thought they belonged together since season 1. Hated how they put Kelly with Dylan and ruined Brenda and hers friendship. Because it was never the same after that. For me Kelly and Dylan never compared on the chemistry departement with Brandon and Kelly. Brandon and Kelly had a soul connection. They were komplex and everything in between. They showed with their action they were soulmates. Hated the cheating storyline. Hated Brandon leaving. Maybe this is the closest we ever get to a redemption. It does suck knowing now Jason regrett leaving, makes you think what could have been. Knowing that Kelly and Brandon would have ended up together otherwise. The same way it hurts knowing Brenda and Dylan would have ended up together had Shannen not left. Then Jason left a fue seasons later and it was the end of an era. The end of Brelly getting the ending they were suppose to get. Sorry for my English and spelling errors at times. Writing from my phone and it changed the spelling as my dashboard isn't in English, autocorrect changes it

I still think the main reason why Brandon saw Kelly as off-limits in the first season was because he didn't want to hurt Steve. They had developed a friendship and Brandon knew that Steve still liked her, so he didn't want to break ~the code~

There was an interview I read long ago where he said he rather have Dylan alone then end up with Kelly, but understood the drama it would create. He Said his favourite couple was Dylan and Brenda. Also he wasn't really suppose to do much in the reboot anyway, he and Shannen were working on their own stuff for the Brenda and Dylan fans. Then I don't know if it was Brenda and Dylan related, just that they were going to work together again, that would make the fans happy. It was also never suppose to last with Kelly and Dylan. As she was suppose to be with Brandon and Brenda with Dylan. Sadly that never came to be.

This is kinda bizarre, when you think that Luke is basically the reason that Dylan and Kelly were put together in the first place

Maybe he realized after years of looking back on it how important Brenda actually was to Dylan, then? I'd like to think so.

Jennie always seemed like a huge Kelly/Brandon fan. I remember her always hyping them up in interviews, even after Jason left.

Mike, can you remember the timescale of it?

Was it old-old (like during/ just after the show) or new-old (within the last few years)?

Not that it really matters just curious at what point the actors had these opinions. But then again, they switch according to what people want them to say a lot of the time.
