She helped Dylan to get his money back together with that other guy and then she got her share from that. That was in mid Season 5. (I googled it was episode 18 when she helped Dylan) Two episodes later she left the Casa Walsh to move into a luxury hotel. So I guess she returned to Casa Walsh before Season 5 was over.

She moved back to the Walsh house before S5 was over....after she couldn't pay her bill at the hotel. During her time at the hotel, Ray was paying her visits.

Was this when she told Susan and Colin that Brandon and Kelly spent the night together? I never paid much attention to their friendship when I watched for the first time, but nowadays I think it was very honest from both sides, and really nice. They both had some problematic moments though. Val was manipulative sometimes, like in this case when she told Susan and Colin about Brandon/Kelly not caring how it would affect Brandon. He, on the other hand, tended to be judgemental and to stick his nose where it was not necessary, like when he took sleazy Kenny's side against Valerie, although Kenny was a jerk to her. __________________
