I hated that entire episode. It basically ret-conned their entire relationship just for the sake of letting Jason Priestley leave the show without there being loose ends with Kelly and Brandon as a couple. If you ask me, Jennie Garth should have decided to leave with him so that they get the romantic ending the couple REALLY deserved, instead of the awful wedding fake-out. It took the viewers for granted and made a mockery of everything that the characters AND the couple were about.

I'm still bitter, to this day

The writing was so forced by this point. They should have done everyone a favor and cancelled 90210 after Season 7, where everyone graduates and gets a fitting conclusion. Having Brandon cheat, after Kelly got shot AND miscarried their child... Just, NO. Why did this show continue on to Season 10? It wasn't even about the Walsh family anymore, just a bunch of Beverly Hills rich kids with problems. It was so far removed from the entertaining show it used to be.

I was ok with S8 up until Toil and Trouble. I didn't care about the rest. But I agree with you about hating that wedding episode. I don't know why the guests were applauding at the reception. This was a tragedy.
