TFTNT! I really loved these two together. (even if I also ship Steve and Janet).
I was kinda sad as Clare left after Season 7. Poor Steve.
But anyway: I`m watching Season 6 now on DVD and their first kiss was so cute!
Can I be added to the shippers list?

Steve and Clare gave us some of the best comic moments as a couple. When she tells Steve he should have punched Prince Carl and he does with that "Sorry Carl" face, and Clare goes mad, I really laughed.

It actually was a really good storyline and it really I think showed Steve that he could lose her, but even though Carl was a Prince, Steve was who she wanted.

I agree. I wonder what would've happened if S4 Clare gotten together with Steve. Two immature kids together? Interesting.

Hahaha yeah that would have been interesting. Season 5 would have been cool, instead of her being with David she was with Steve. In a way though, I think she needed to be with David first to really appreciate her relationship with Steve. I think it happened with the when it was supposed to.

Yeah, they could have left the whole Clare/David relationship out, IMO.

^ True but I thought it was ok. I the Christmas episode together. I think this is a couple where I don't have much fond memories of David/Clare romantically together but just some jokes and cute scenes between one another.

Pairing with Steve was the only Clare's pairing that made sense to me I don't remember anything likeable from her relationship with David. Probably because they had no build up, S5 began, bump! and they were together. I think the show creators did not know what to do with their characters in S5 so they paired them up. Steve and Clare were different story - they were such a different characters, with somewhat complementary backgrounds, they had so much tensions, romance and comedy altogether.
