Beverly Hills 90210 - Board Survivor (Round 4): S5 Ending Scenes! (Pics & Rules in First Post)

Hey, guys! Thought we'd try this out. This is much like other survivor games except, with so many options, we need a speedier way to vote them off.

Therefore ...

+ For each turn, you may vote for up to five scenes to go. It's okay to vote for less, but five is encouraged.
+ Once a given scene receives three votes, it's out. This also means that more than one scene may be eliminated at a time in the end of a round. If the last scenes standing are voted out at the same time, leaving none left, an additional round will be created to break the tie.
+ We'll aim to give each round 3-4 days to complete (more or less as necessary).

BH90210 Survivor: Best/"Most Classic" Ending Scene (Season _ )

Try remembering how the scenes affected you when you first saw them and that infamous "Charles Rosin" placard went up. Think of the questions each is posing, the inherent suspense factor or level of sentimentality or critical meaning for a given character. The aim is to consider how "classic" for the show certain endings were. Some of the best ones can rest on a tragic note (ex., Dylan's dad blowing up).

Without knowing the stuff that happens in between, it does read kind of crazy, and gives strange impressions as if a choice in one has anything to do with what happened in the last episode.

Well, my first selections require very little thought, so, lol ...

Voting out:

5x06 Because it's the one episode from the year that I usually forget happened, lol.

5x12 Unattached to story, just promotional for FOX.
5x17 I'd rather take Dylan finding Erica's letter. This one with Jonesly's voicemail is certainly the quickest ending in the bunch. Just goes right through you in a matter of seconds.
5x22 Meh ... zero emotion for this.
5x31 Because it's a half-baked mid-finale ending and the only one I'd like to take out back and shoot. No friend of Kelly's, not David or Clare or Brandon, should be so dense, lol.

5x06 Throwaway episode for me, too. And the whole Clare/Brandon truce was inconsequential to me at this point.
5x11 Anticlimactic considering the tension in the rest of the episode. Also an episode that kind of seems out of place to me for some reason.
5x22 Never cared much for Ray or Ray/Donna, so this didn't matter a lot to me.
5x27 Again, don't really care for Ray.
5x31 Everything Mel said. I really hated the entire two-part season finale. It was like an alternate universe where nothing made sense and this ending just feeds into that.

EDIT: Oh, we need reasons?

It's when the whole series started to slip for me. There are even surreal aspects in the background details, like bam ... Donna and Ray are now fighting in what looks like the middle of the desert, with horses. o_O Nevermind the broad strokes for a minute.

I don't know that I ever officially voted in one. I'll try to keep up with this one.

It really was bizarre and definitely the beginning of the downhill slide. It's one of those episodes (two, I guess) that I never go back and watch because there's just no appeal. Certainly not in the sense that I need it to continue anything sane or of value from the rest of the season or need it to pick up with the next. Andrea leaving and Kelly turning down Dylan and Brandon was a wonderful and compelling ending and then this two-episode arc feels like a "Well, we need to finish off the season with something" tack-on.

Awesome job guys! Looks fantastic.

I see we have almost the same picks for the first round. Here are mine:

5x06 - I don't really care for this whole politics thing that's going on in S05. It dragged on for too long, so this ending didn't really interest me.
5x11 - Just not really my type of episode, i rather see episodes that involve the cast more (has several storylines), but this took over a whole episode. So at the end, i was bored and like: Okay next!
5x17 - One of the storylines i thought was over the top, so this ending didn't excite me alot, or made me feel with them, it felt surreal.
5x22 - Because i can't stand it when in a series or a movie, someone tries to confess something finally, and someone keeps on stopping them.
5x26 - Just not the most impressive ending/happening. I didn't really care for Dylan/Valerie, their scenes didn't do much for me. Their was hardly ever a real conversation.
5x31 - I disliked how Brandon behaved here, only wanting to believe this rumor because he was looking for an excuse why she didn't want him.

5x22 I wanted him to just tell her the truth.
5x27 Never cared for Ray or Ray/Valerie.
5x31 It was a complete mess.

My picks are:

5X06: The whole episode was really boring...
5X11: Another episode about politics so I actually didn't enjoy it that much either..
5X12: I don't think the ending was relevant at all.
5X22: Donna's reaction to what Ray was trying to tell her was beyond lame. He clearly had something to confess to her, the least thing she could've done was to shut up and listen imo.
5X26: Boring!!
