Did anyone realize in Season 8 when Val brought Noah to court for "date raping" her for a $10,000,000.00 suit.... she won the case and never got any money?
She does make a comment to Noah in the realm of (you exposed for what you did to me and a nickle and I'll be happy) but the fact is the suit was for $10,000,000.00

Also in that episode when Noah's brother is describing to the court the events of the night he skips over like 30mins of it! He said that Noah poured the wine, put it in front of them and then he immediately got a phone call from his fiance and Noah took Val upstairs....

When in reality.... after Josh dropped the drug in Vals drink, they cut away from the scene. The next time they came back to them it seemed MUCH later and Val was slurring her words and could barely stand up. A condition that could not have developed within 15 seconds as Josh stated it did, in court.

Just thought I'd share that bizarre observation lol The craziest of the two is Val not getting the 10 mill IMO

Well, Josh was lying in court anyway. He'd be a pretty bad liar, too, if he was implying that Noah and Val got drunk after going upstairs (esp since he wasn't present anymore to know). I don't remember the exact dialogue he used, but I probably assumed while watching that he just meant x came first, then y, then z. Just a sequence rather than a timeframe, with no interruption of other events.

About Val's $10 mill win, is it possible that once Josh was exposed for the crime, she denied acceptance of the money from Noah? If that's what happened, she deserves major props as to gaining a moral high-ground, LOL. Actually, if Noah's criminal record was officially cleared in court, Val's verdict would be rendered null and void.

Both good points if that was what happened but it wasn't LOL

The timeframe of the events were VERY important and the whole basis for the case! It was all about how long Noah had to drop the ruffies in her drink. As Josh described the events it implied that Noah dropped it in there while Josh was distracted and took the call! Meanwhile the call came 30-45mins after Noah poured the drink! Yet Noah and Val have no reaction to Josh's description of that night, while listening to him in court!

As for the money, long before they found out Josh did it... after they find in favor of Valerie, they never say the penalty or consequence to Noah. They just say we find in favor of Miss Malone. They never add anything to it like "the defendant must pay 10 million in damages". NOTHING!

Makes absolutely no sence! lol

Oh yeah, the ruffie-dropping timeframe. I see what you're saying now. Okay, new theory : Noah and Valerie have no reaction to Josh's re-imagined events because they were both drunk/drugged enough the night before to have shaky memories at best of what happened. I understand still waking up half-naked and feeling violated, and scared that you don't remember consenting to sex with anyone.

There must be an explanation for the Valerie/money thing! LOL Seriously ...

Scarlet's Walk 02-05-2012 10:00 AM

Ohhhh, that's something I hadn't thought about before! Good catch, Noah ;) I remember I really enjoyed that storyline because Valerie was really fighting for justice this time, even though she was so vulnerable. I should watch again those episodes and see what you pointed out.

playgroundDiaries 02-05-2012 11:27 PM

:bubble: I'll wait here, lol. For whatever you find.

I guess the question is also, if Val did get the money, is there a chance she would not make a big deal out of it? Maybe she stayed at the Walshes for another few months out of comfort rather than necessity. I need to watch again too.

^ I still think she'll move out immediately, no matter how much she's change since S5.

I wonder why the writers always gave Val a bad summer. The summer between S5 and S6, S6 and S7, and S7 and S8 were all bad.

playgroundDiaries 02-09-2012 01:42 PM

And the summer between S4 and S5! Let's not forget about that.

She looks fab!

Here's a new scan and pic I've never seen before of her and Harper. Also, recent pics with Tim DeKay at a USA event.
