I loved how she was a guys girl. I mean, she had her bonding moments with all of the girls on the show, but when it all comes down to it she was just so much closer with the main guys. They were the one's who eventually came to know and accepted the true her and most of her layers. I especially loved her relationship with Brandon and how fiercly almost always had her back.

Hmm there are a lot of Kelly Fans who love Valerie I think.
I'm one of them.
Val is my 2nd fave girl on the show.
I love her - especially WITH Kelly!
The only time she annoyed me a lot with her Anti-Kelly-behavior was in Season 7, but ... I love their little catfights *lol*

She was definitely loyal and protective of the one's she grew to care about. I loved her being roomates with Brandon/Steve. They were such a great little trio/family.

I just watched the rescue Dylan's money/Erica Mexico episode after a long time and my love for Val is renewed and refreshed! She is so awesome and such a misunderstood girl with a heart of gold inside. Dylan's in a jam and needs her help and instead of telling his business to the Walshes and Kelly who are giving her such a hard time she takes a hit for him and ends up being pivotal to the whole operation. (Jonesy love too! Does he have a thread? He should.)

I think Dylan "got" Val a lot more than the others because they sort of came from the same place emotionally- Val wanted to be loved just like Dylan wanted that love from a family of his own.

Definitely. And that's part of why he lashes out at her in "Who's Zoomin' Who?", but ultimately comforts her. "What's wrong with that?" / "... Nothing."
