Mini-Series to Season Two Moments

Helo: "I'm not going to let you kill her. She's carrying my child."
Starbuck: "My Gods, men are so painfully stupid sometimes! How do you know that?"
(S2 E1 'Scattered')

"Helo: "She's right. We can't stay here."
Starbuck: "She's right, huh? Sharon the Cylon is right. Let's all just listen to Sharon the Cylon, do whatever she says, cause that's a good idea."
Helo: "Hey, Kara, she helped me get this far."
Starbuck : "OK. I get it. I get it, Helo. You and I go way back, so I get it. All right? I remember how you felt about her, but she is not the real Sharon. That is some cheap, knock-off copy."
(S2 E1 'Scattered')

Starbuck: "It's not exactly what I expected. I thought I'd be stepping over decaying corpses in the streets."
Helo: "Yeah, we saw a few bodies here and there. Not much though. Sharon said..(Starbuck glares at him.) Cylon Sharon said they had troops picking up the bodies transporting them to mass incinerators."
Starbuck: "Your girlfriend's from a lovely family. Good people, great values."

Helo: "So, just call me an idiot and let's be done with it."
Starbuck: "You're an idiot. Alright? You're an IDIOT. But the cylons have a way of making all of us look like idiots."
(S2 E2 'Valley of Darkness')

(Starbuck and Helo are standing outside her apartment, She doesn't have her keys so she shoots the lock and kick the door open.)
Starbuck: "You never have your house keys when you need 'em."
Helo: "These yours? You paint these, Kara?"
Starbuck: "Yeah."
(Starbuck turns on a music box after she installs batteries.)
Helo: "How the hell did you get power?."
Starbuck: "Batteries. Kept turning off the power. Something about not paying a bill."
Helo: "That is definitely not you." (refers to a picture, opens refrigerator and scoffs. He finds a package of noddles elsewhere)
Starbuck: "It's my dad."
Helo: "Well, we got one package of noodles. You don't believe in groceries?"
Starbuck: "You know, I never really liked this place anyway. Air conditioning doesn't work in the summer. Heater doesn't work in the winter. The rent's a crime."
Helo: "A-hah."
(They sit back on the couches and relax. She lights up a cigar.)
Starbuck: "After they attacked, I never... I never pined over any of my old crap. Never missed it. Stupid view of the parking lot. Broken toilet in the bathroom. You know, everyone I know... is fighting to get back what they had. And I'm fighting 'cause I don't know how to do anything else."

Starbuck: "Didn't see any shiny silver out there. I think we're dealing with the human variety."
Helo: "Hope so. They're not as tough as mechanicals."
Starbuck: "Yeah, they do bleed good, though. You gotta like that."
(S2 E4 'Resistance')

[i](Helo comes into the officers mess to play cards with the other pilots.)
Helo: (to Starbuck) "Hey I thought I'd find you here. (Shakes her hand.) (to Duck) Hey, Karl Agathon."
(He is ignored by the other pilots.)
Starbuck: "You want to sit in?"
Helo: "Maybe next time."
Duck: "So he's the cylon lover."
Starbuck: "You know what? I don't care who or what he fraks. He saved my ass down there, all right?"
Duck: "How could anyone fall in love with a toaster, though?"
Starbuck: "Same way I hear everyone was high-fiving our Sharon right before she put two in Adama's chest. The bastards frak with your head."
Hotdog:"Yeah. Just ask the chief."
(S2 E9 'Flight of the Phoenix')

(Starbuck and Helo are practive boxing.)
Starbuck: "I could have done it, you know. Could have taken out Scar. Head on pass. Straight for him. Just needed to get a little closer."
Helo: "So, why didn't you do it?"
Starbuck: "Probably would have died in the process. The bastard was too good. Couple months ago, I wouldn't have even thought about that. Would have just gone for the glory hoping I could pull it out of the fire somehow."
Helo: "Quit kicking yourself. You did the right thing and called in your wingman. Okay? Scar's dead. You and Kat came back alive."
Starbuck: "It's not why I did it though. Can't get anders out of my head. Can't get over this insane hope that maybe he's alive."
Helo: "You got something to live for now. Not just die for."
(They play fight some more, with Starbuck knocking Helo over.)
Helo: "Ho, hey, ho. Uh. Oh.Oh, oh. He's down for the count. Uh!"
(S2 E15 'Scar')

Season Three to Season Four Moments

Helo: "So Starbuck, tell me, is that what you gotta do to get a little extra rack time around here?"
Starbuck: "Did you just come by to frak with me?"
Helo: "Actually, I wanted to know if you had any, uh... pictures of your old apartment on Caprica."
Starbuck : (smiling) Um...yeah, uh... the locker, top shelf. Cigar box. Why?"
Helo: "Curious about something."
Starbuck: "Well, I hope you and Sharon aren't planning on redecorating, 'cause you're not gonna get any bright ideas from my old place."
Helo: (sweetly): "Oh, I remember. I've seen better looking trainwrecks."
Starbuck: "Oh, thank you."
Helo: "But I do remember those paintings you did."
Starbuck: "What about 'em?"
Helo: (showing her the Eye picture and a photo of her painting) "This? Was on the Temple. Where'd you get the idea to paint yours?"
Starbuck: "I don't know. It was just something I've been doodling since I was a kid, I liked the pattern."
Helo: "Well... they built the Temple 4,000 years ago."
(Kara gets weird and distant.)
Helo: "What is it?"
Starbuck: "Just something Leoben said once. That I had a destiny, that it had already been written."
(S3 E12 'Rapture')

(Pilots' Head, Starbuck washes her face, gasping.)
Helo: "You're up early."
Starbuck: "You too."
Helo: "Yeah. Hera gets these nightmares. Wakes up crying and shaking. By the time we calm her down and get her back to sleep I'm wide awake. All that crap she went through on New Caprica really left its mark on her."
Starbuck: "Yeah, I know just how she feels. I wish you never would have shown me that picture of that frakkin' mandala. I dream about it and that bastard Leoben every Godsdamned night. I feel like I'm losing my mind here."
Helo: "You know Kara, there's a, um, a psychiatrist aboard Incron Vale. We've made an appointment for Hera. Maybe you should think about seeing her."
Starbuck: "Are you kiddin' me? Most shrinks are more frakked than their patients are."
Helo: "You know, you might want to check out that oracle camped at Dogsville."
(Kara sees a young blonde girl, older than Kacey, who disappears.)
Helo: "People say she interprets dreams. Sees things in them. Predicts events."
Helo: "Hey. You okay?"
Starbuck: (smiling) I don't know."
(S3 E17 'Maelstrom')

(Demetrius: Thrace Quarters)
Helo: entering and watching her paint "Captain."
(She doesn't hear him, keeps going.)
Helo: "Captain!"
Starbuck: "I'm glad you're here. I might have found something."
Helo: "Before that, we need to talk about making our rendezvous with the Fleet."
Starbuck: )scratching and shuffling papers) "Later. No, no... no. Come on. Here showing him papers. What do you think?"
Helo: "Well...it's hard to say. Spectroscopics are promising. But according to this, we already did two long-range recons of that grid. Both no joy."
Starbuck: (smiling): Third time's the charm maybe.
Helo: "...Alright. I'll have Sharon prep to go as soon as Anders gets back from his scout."
(She looks insane some more.)
Helo: "Hey. What about you? You been getting any sleep?"
Starbuck: "I don't know. Not, not much. It was so clear when I first got back. If I could... If I could just focus, I know that I can find that sound again."
Helo: "I gotta go see the CAP off. Long pause. We'll talk when I get back."
Starbuck: "Hold up. I think I'll go with you on this one."
Helo: "Not wanting them to see: You haven't flown a CAP since we left the Fleet."
Starbuck: "I think I'll go with you on this one. "
(S4 E5 'The Road Less Travelled')

Helo: (alone with her) "What is going on with you? Kara..."
Starbuck: "He can help us. The Cylons, they understand about Earth."
Helo: "And you believe him. After everything he's done to you? Kara, he kept you locked up for months on New Caprica. The frakkin' mind games?"
Starbuck: "I swear to Gods, this is not a dream. It's real."
(S4 E5 'The Road Less Travelled')

Helo: "Galactica's standing orders are clear. If we miss the rendezvous, Adama will assume we're dead or captured. They will leave us."
Starbuck: "No. Not Adama."
Helo: "Listen to me, we can jump back to Galactica, okay, if the Admiral's for it, we can re-supply. Send out an armed patrol."
Starbuck: (leaning forward like Cain) "Do not do this, Helo."
Helo: (sadly) ..."I can't allow you to risk the lives of this ship's crew."
Starbuck: "When the Admiral put me in command, he told me to trust my instincts. Find the next marker, see if it checks out. Lead the people from the Fleet home. That is what I intend to do. Now...prepare to jump!"
Helo: "I'm sorry Sir, but I cannot obey that order."
Starbuck: "Then you are relieved, Captain. "
