Kara: "I need this, Sam."
Sam: "So what? Throwing a few people out an airlock is gonna make you feel better about yourself? 'Cause believe me, those aren't the people that kept you locked in that room."
Kara: "They'll do. And not just for me but for every person we left back on that planet because someone has gotta pay. So you can either get with it, or you can get lost."
Sam: "Is that what you want, Kara? You want me to leave?"

(Galactica: Officers' Bunks, Starbuck and Anders have just had sex.)
Kara: T"hat was exactly what I needed. (She stands up and immediately starts getting dressed.)
Sam: "Glad to be of service."
Kara: "Damn it."
Sam: (with her shirt) "Looking for this?"
Kara: "Ahem. Yeah."
Sam: (holding the shirt back) "Kara, I want you back. I want our marriage back. I want a real marriage."
Kara: "And what if I'm just not ready for that?"
Sam: (giving up the shirt) "I don't know. Then I guess you'll never be. Maybe because I'm not what you really want after all.2
Kara: ( pauses, then grabs her dog tags) !I'm late for the dance. (She tosses his boots inside.) "Don't forget your boots on the way out, Sammy."

(Starbuck's Bunk)
Kara: (taking a drink) "You're being awfully accommodating."
Sam: (dressing) "Is that how it looks to you?"
Kara: (with a conspiratorial grin) "Your estranged, two-timing bitch of a wife calls you up for a quickie, and you hop on the first shuttle? I'd say yeah."
Sam: "I've been thinking about some stuff, Kara."
Kara: "Yeah? Like what?"
Sam: "Like... what that crazy skinjob Leoben said about you and a special destiny. (She looks away.) I mean, what if there's something to that?"
Kara: (silent, then grins) "Kara Thrace and her special destiny? It sounds more like a bad cover band, Sam."
Sam: "Think about it, though. Why did I survive all those months on Caprica, waiting for you to return, if I was just gonna walk out on you? And you, I mean, did you go through that hell, locked in the fake house with that fake husband, just so you could ditch me? (She looks down.) I don't think so. You know, when I think about it like that... (He sighs.) Do you love him?"
Kara: (startled) ..."What?"
Sam: "Lee, Kara. Do you love Lee?"
Kara: [(nearly crying) "Gods, Sam. (She sets her jaw.) Maybe. (He exhales.) I don't know."
Sam: (shaking head) "Then you gotta go to him."
(She stares at him silently, without answering.)
(S3 E13 'Taking A Break From All Your Worries')

Starbuck's Bunk
Kara: (shaking her head sadly) "Sam."
Sam: "I gotta get going. (He pulls open the curtain on the bunk, revealing that they're in the main pilots' quarters.) This was fun."
(She pulls him in for another kiss; all around them people are working.)
Sam: "I love you."
(He leaves; she snatches the curtain closed and nearly takes a drink, then stares at Lee's dogtag and Zak's ring on their chain.)

(Starbuck's Rack, Sam getting dressed.)
Sam: "I'm on a shuttle in a half an hour. Ask for your leave. With me. You could use the down time."
Kara: (naked under the covers) "That sounds tempting."
Sam: "So do it. No strings, okay? We don't even have to talk about our relationship."
Kara: "I'll think about it."
Sam: (standing) "Which means no. You know I hate to say this, but that whackjob Oracle, she's got a point. Your mother frakked up your head long before Leoben ever got to you."
Kara: "She was dealing with a lot, Sam. She told me that I was different from other kids, that I needed to be a warrior like her. Taught me that fear gets you killed, and anger keeps you alive."
Sam: "Well, she gave you plenty to be angry about, didn't she? Split your head open with a broomstick handle because you didn't make your bed?"
Kara: "Did I ever tell you how I got back at her?"
Sam: "No."
Kara: "During the first Cylon war, she was stationed with the first Marines on Medra. Stinkin' jungles you wouldn't believe. Had this phobia of insects for the rest of her life, hated the damn things. So I go out and I buy a bunch of rubber bugs, and I slip into her closet, and I put 'em all over her shoes. She screamed her frakkin' head off. I go in, and she's trying to smash them with her shoes, but that's just making them bounce around even more."
Sam: "You must have caught hell for that."
Kara: "She grabbed my hand, held it in the doorjamb and slammed the door."
Sam: "Oh, frak me."
Kara: ( grinning) "It was worth it though."

Sam: I told everyone that you were too frakkin' mean to kill!
Kara: "Okay, I'm okay, I'm okay. I'm okay. (Doubletake.) What the hell are you doing in a jock smock?"
Sam: "I just finished Viper transition a week ago, and I started ACM..."
Kara: (confused) "How the..."
(Sam laughs and touches her face.)
Adama: (from above) "Starbuck!"
Kara: (grinning up) I did it, Boss. I found Earth! [i](She chuckles, and Sam smiles behind her.)]/i]
(S4 E1 'He Does Believeth In Me')

(Galactica: Hall of Remembrance)
Kara: (staring at her photo on the wall, as Sam approaches) "No one took it down. Not the old man, not Lee. Not even you, Sam."
Sam: "You just got back, Kara. We're all still trying to get a handle on this. You know, you gotta cut people some slack. Cut yourself some too."
Kara: "When I woke up orbiting Earth, I just figured it was some crazy dream, but... I went in following a heavy Raider. I mean, maybe the Cylons pulled me out of the soup, captured me, brainwashed me. On Caprica, in the experiment on me. I mean, did they take pieces of me? I mean, is it possible that they grew me -- another me -- in a Petri dish, and they embedded me with the memories, or it with the memories, or..."
Sam: (kneeling at her side) "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, hey, no. Kara, no. Listen to me. If you were a Cylon, then you've been one from the beginning."
Kara: (disgusted) "Like Boomer. Spend my entire life thinking I'm one thing..."
Sam: "Yeah, and then you wake up one day and discover you're another. Still doesn't change who you really are. Still doesn't change the fact that I love you no matter what."
Kara:( joking) "You are a better person than I am, Sam, because if I found out that you were a Cylon, I would put a bullet between your eyes."
Dualla: (on PA) "All hands, prepare for jump in four, three, two... Jump."
Kara: (bending) "Damn it, they're still going in the wrong direction. Oh... One more jump and I'm gonna lose my way altogether." (She stands up and wobbles away, as two Marines track her with their eyes.)
Sam: (rushing to her side) "All right, we gotta find you a rack. Okay, take it easy."
Kara: "It's Roslin. The old man's not gonna listen to me as along as she's... I gotta get to her."
Sam: "You can't do that."
Kara: "Is that a fact?"
Sam: "Yeah."
(She looks at him, and a split-second later has taken out one Marine by the neck. Sam instinctively disarms the second Marine, falling to the floor, so he won't shoot Kara. She quickly dispatches that one too.)
Sam: "No, no, wait! What the hell are you doing, Kara?"
Kara: (staring down at him, with the gun) "Where's the president, Sam?"
Sam: "Kara, come on."
(She knocks him out with the gun, realizes she's crossed the line, and takes off running toward Bill's quarters.)
(S4 E1 'He Does Believeth In Me')

Demetrius: Thrace Quarters
(Kara paints her vision on the wall of her rack, above her head. Sam enters.)
Sam: "Kara, what the hell's the matter with you? 'Cause the way you're holing up in here, you're making people wonder."
Kara: (without looking) "Let 'em. Frankly, they're starting to bug me as much as I bug them. Frak 'em."
Sam: "You know, some of us actually volunteered for this mission."
Kara: "Some," meaning you? Is that what this is about, Sam? You want to know what the deal is with us? With our marriage? Well, it didn't make much sense to begin with, makes even less now."
Sam: (taking her paintbrush) "Give me that. I don't buy that. I don't think you believe a single frakkin' word you're saying. You're just scared."
(He finally forces her to turn around, shoving their wedding tattoos together.)
Sam: "You see that, hmm? You see this? You remember those? Do you remember when we got 'em? That's what's real. Okay, that is part of who we are. That is a part of who you are, whether you want to admit it or not."
Kara: "You dumb motherfrakker. I only married you because it was safe and it was easy, Sam. And you were just pathetic enough to go along with it. So get the frak out. I said get out. Get out!"
Sam: "What are you gonna do, huh?"
Kara: "Get out!"
(She shoves him against the hatch and he holds her arms, and she starts to kiss him.)
Kara: "I don't want to fight, Sam. I want to frak. You don't get it, do you? I'm not the same girl you married. All I want to do right now is frak. Really frak, like it's the end of the world and nothing else matters. So come on, Sam. Make me feel something. I dare you."
(Anders shoves her across the room and onto the bed, and she starts to laugh. He holds her arms above her head.)
(S4 E3 'The Ties That Bind')

Demetrius: Thrace Quarters
Kara: "We were married, weren't we? I mean, that wasn't just like a fantasy."
Sam: "Hell no. And I got the scars to prove it."
Kara: "Does that seem different to you somehow?"
Sam: "Different how?"
Kara: "Not sure. It's like everything seems so far away. The way things feel, the way they taste. Like I'm watching myself, but I'm not really experiencing it, not living it. Like my body's just this alien thing that I'm still attached to. Does that seem crazy to you?"
(Anders stares at her.)
(S4 E3 'The Ties That Bind')

Sam: "Hey, hey, Jean. Hey. Jean! You killed her. You frakkin' killed her!"
(Sam grabs the Six and throws her to the floor, puts a gun to her head.)
Sam: "You want to know what it feels like to die, huh? You're nothing! You're a frakkin' machine!"
Kara: (arriving with Natalie) "Sam, put the gun down now! Sam, stop"
Sam: "What do you want me to do, Kara? You want me to forget about Barolay? You want me to forget about New Caprica? No frakkin' way! She just killed Barolay!"
Kara: "Sam! Put the gun down. Put it down."
Sam: (weeping) "I'm not gonna do it."
Kara: "Sam. Sam, you have no idea what's at stake here. Look at me. Put it down."
Athena: "They killed one of us and you're just ready to let it slide?"
Sam: "She's right. You can't let this go, Kara. If you don't want to do this, I will."
Kara: "Put the gun down, soldier. I need to see the Hybrid."
(S4 E6 'Faith')
