Fan Forum - Mary McDonnell/Laura Roslin #9: The Presidential Goddess

I did slightly squee a bit yes :lol: :blush:, I want to adopt her into my family :lol:

Some of the things Mary touched upon in her talks.

- Great Q&A from Mary :). Mary said she loves the Spanish language and says whenever she hears it, she wants to start dancing lol, so then everyone tried to speak Spanish questions, one time though when a person was asking a question in Spanish, she went off stage and then brought a fan out and started to dance with the fan lol. Mary talked about "The Closer" and that she is back next season (WOO) and would love to investigate the relationship of two powerful women in Brenda and Sharon. She thought that the character seemed to be getting a good following. Also Mary said she is working with James Duff on a new series, so that was great to hear :).

- Mary said that working on "BSG" was the best thing ever to do on TV, she laughed and laughed and had so much fun on set.

- Someone asked her about what Laura believed in after the scene in "Sometimes..." when she lost her faith..Mary replied that she found Love (*sigh*). Mary said that Laura let go of everything and what she found was love and that was all. Mary talked about the scene on "Earth", where Bill names the planet and Laura snorts and says "whatever you want", because it doesn't matter in the place that she finds herself

- Mary also said that she would steal the election like Laura and went into statement on politics and how we are pretty much destroying the planet. Someone asked a question about Billy and
Mary she was upset when Billy left, thinking he was perfect for Laura to groom as the next Prez. Mary also mentioned Zarek and said that he and Laura had an interesting relationship..

- Someone asked whether her and Eddie would work again and Mary said she would love to work with Eddie again, she said that a couple of journalists have asked them about it and Mary said she could see them doing a sort of doing a Hepburn and Tracy kind of thing, which would be great! :).

- Mary thought that Bill and Laura were soul mates *sigh* :), but didn't think they would have ended up together if they had met in Cap City because she thinks they had nothing in common. So someone yelled out, books. So she thought yeah they could meet in the library and then go out for a drink...;)

- Sunday, Mary Q&A was up first. When she was introduced to the stage, the applause was ringing out and she was taken aback by it and you could see it really touched her.

I actually had the balls to ask her a question. I asked about when she does to wind down and relax during a hectic day and she said that she likes to go to the gym and also swim and watch lots of TV. As I was waiting to ask my question I did see EJO at the back of the audience listening ;).

Mary was also asked questions that were the same from 'Inside the Actor's Studio', basically what is your favourite swear word, favourite word, biggest turn on etc. I can't remember all the questions, but I do remember Mary's favourite curse word is **** and also her biggest turn on is EJO and then her husband lol.

Mary was also asked about Meryl Streep and Meryl taking all the roles for older woman. Mary said it's great that Meryl is doing this for the older actress, but she hoped more roles would come along for other actresses and not just Meryl. and she also mentioned that 'Something's Gotta Give' is one of her fave films ever (mine too Mary!)
