Yeah, I'm fearing that this will make everyone think of him as "the guy with the amazing body" again, instead of "the amazing actor", you know? A lot of the media still just sees him as a sexy heartthrob, but they might start to focus more on his mad acting skills (especially when it comes to comedies) with all his upcoming movies. I'm afraid that this Baywatch movie will just take them back to where they are now though. It seriously annoys me how articles went on about the slo-mo shower in WYAF when the second trailer came out, instead of being excited about, you know, the movie and the story and the characters (and not just when they aren't wearing any shirts).

With that being said, I'm not gonna complain about what will, without a doubt, be a hot (and hopefully good and funny) movie. Zac definitely has the body for such a movie, and he'll probably have a lot of fun filming it. I'm also very excited about him being in a movie with The Rock. The list of big actors and actressess he's starred opposite of is just growing all the time, and I love it!

So I say bring the Baywatch!

I mean if people went to see his dramas more than his comedies studios would offer him more dramas than comedies but that's none of my business.

What makes me feel bad is Zac said at the premiere tonight that he really enjoyed not working out for wayf and that makes me think he dreads having to do these other movies where he has to

he's more than just a body, i don't want people judging him on that again..

he's a brilliant actor that needs to be recognized on his talent, not that. it upsets me when they focus on that only.. i hope that's not why they hired him for Baywatch.

I did trust Zac and then he signed up for Baywatch

Here's hoping that the script is what drew him in and not just the people he would be working with.

It sounds like there will be a story and lots of action. I trust Zac's judgement on films. If he's "stoked" to be in this working with the Rock next year, I am. too.

Zac Efron says new 'Baywatch' movie to be raunchy comedy

Efron, who was in London for the European premiere on Tuesday of his new movie "We Are Your Friends", in which he plays a DJ who gets caught up in the drug-and-booze-fuelled world of the California party and club scene, said the evolving "Baywatch" movie would skew towards comedy and raunch.

"I think we're going like pretty big with it and I don't think it's going to be much like the old 'Baywatch' to be honest. I think we're going to kind of reinvent it in a big way, and he (Johnson) has big plans for it. I know he's very ambitious."

Efron also responded to a tweet sent by Johnson, who doubles as a producer for the film, which read: "BIG NEWS: Welcoming my dude @ZacEfron to #BAYWATCH. Our movie will be big, fun and RATED R... Like me when I drink."

Efron replied saying: "So stoked brother - baby oil for 2 plz."

"We Are Your Friends" will be released in British cinemas on August 27.

I don't think it's interfering with WAY promo since people are seeing WAY stuff on TV etc
