Welcome to the Delta Goodrem Appreciation Thread!

This thread is devoted to amazing Australian singer/actress, Delta Goodrem. She stars as Nina Tucker on Australian/UK soap, Neighbours.
The show is on Channel 10 at 6:30pm weekdays in Australia. In the UK it airs at 1:45pm on weekdays and repeats at 5:35pm on BBC1.

Delta kick-started her singing career with two chart-topping hits- "Born To Try" and "Lost Without You". With "Innocent Eyes" and "Not Me, Not I" following suit.

Delta's latest single released after the success of "Not Me, Not I" was "Predictable". It hit #1 just a few short weeks after release. [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]
Her next single to be released in the UK is "Not Me Not I".

Her debut album, "Innocent Eyes" was released on March 24th and has reached #1, and held position, on the Aria charts after going x6Platinum. It's been atop of the charts for 28 weeks and going... [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

Congrats is in order as Delta has become the first artist to have 5 number hit singles from a debut album!
She was nominated for record breaking 10 ARIA awards (for which she won 7). Nominations included Best Female, Best Album, Highest Selling Album and Highest Selling Single (a whopping 3 times!)

Sony also released a Delta DVD titled "Delta", which will include Behind The Scenes, Video Clips and Live Performances. The DVD is set to be released in Australia October 13th, 2003.

Also, TV Hits have commemorated the wonderfullness of Delta by publishing a special edition of the magazine. The "Ultimate Guide to Delta" is a 70-page booklet full if behind the scenes info, exclusive pics, latest goss and interviews of Delta. The magazine costs $9.95 and is in stores now. All proceeds go to Delta's personal Cancer Foundation. So get your hands on a copy before it's too late!

I'm just curious, how is everyone's copy of IE doing? I had a look at mine the other day and it's look pretty worn! It still plays fine, but yeah, it's starting to get worn. I guess that's what happens when it lives in my cd player or the car cd player for over a year!

Mine is neatly put into it's case, because most of the time I only play music with my computer or mp3player when I'm outside. That way the CD will have a looooong way to go I'm just worried about the DVD...

My copy is um..bad. I thought it was fine but it has returned to the wonderful world filled with skipping and scratchy goodness.

It's okay though, I just ripped a new one from it. So I'm set.

Oh dear Evie, the poor cd I have it all on my puter anyway, so it's no biggie if it dies. But I think I'm going to buy another copy, because I'm weird and like to have the original cd and all that... That one will get put away!

Oh, I know! I just can't help it. Watching the Live@[V] thingie has almost become a daily ritual for me

I hope she eventually does some touring and concerts, because I'm sooo there if she does!

I love it though! It's the only cd I own that is so worn..It has to say something, right there.

I think I'll buy a new one somewhere down the track just so I can have a nice new one. That's not weird..we're just dedicated fans! (yes bad cover, I know..lol)

Oh I know! Usually, they get retired from the CD player after a while and come out every now and then. But Delta's cd..no way, it's not going anywhere. It's the best cd ever!

Ellie & Susie ~ So, despite votes and ongoing support that's voiced or shown on the request threads, is secondary to whatever posters with mod status say goes? I've been voicing my support ever since starting the thread and after speaking with Johnny, I was informed that the thread is our basis for getting the board.

I couldn't agree more with that. That's why I started the request thread, with that in mind, however many months ago. I don't doubt that we'll get the board. I just think we need to be patient and let the request thread, and all the work people have put in there, speak for itself.

It's obvious now that I'm alone in my opinion here though, so you guys feel free to go ahead and do whatever you can and will to secure the board.
