J-What was the movie you discovered her in?... what movie made you want to work with her?
O-She was in On The Road and she became friends with Charles Gillibert who back then was the producer on my movies.
I had developed a project, which we talked about earlier on (the “we” here is he and the journalist) which is a movie that was supposed to be shot/made in Chicago but it didn’t happen… and in which Robert Pattinson was supposed to be the main character. So I went to see Robert Pattinson and Kristen was there. I exchanged two words with Kristen and I thought “This girl, she has something extraordinary, she gives something off and I told myself, if one day I make a movie with a young American actress, it can’t be anyone but her.
